  • Live Commentary

    Time:90'
    • Internazionale
    • Sampdoria
    • 90+4' The full-time whistle goes at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and Internazionale and Sampdoria have shared a bad-blooded goalless draw in which three players were shown red cards. Jose Mourinho may well be the happier manager after his side were reduced to nine men in the first half! Thanks for joining us.
    • 90+2' Sampdoria enjoy more possession in the Inter half, but do not look remotely like breaching the hosts' defences.
    • 90' Four minutes will be added at the end of this second half, as Inter peg Sampdoria back inside their own box.
    • 88' Palombo strings together a few passes in midfield before Lucio trips Pozzi who takes an exaggerated tumble.
    • 87' Pozzi lashes a wild shot over the crossbar, and the forward has not contributed anything remotely positive in this match.
    • 86' Cesar lumps the ball upfield to Eto'o, but it is asking a lot for the striker to hold the ball in isolation.
    • 85' Inter press high up the field with Eto'o and Pandev making the running, and Sampdoria cannot create anything.
    • 83' Padalino comes on to replace Semioli as Sampdoria make another change late on in this second half.
    • 82' Sampdoria keep the ball patiently in the Inter half, but quite why they are not displaying more intention to capitalise on their numerical advantage is anyone's guess.
    • 80' Sneijder is taken off by Mourinho and greeted with a big hug from his manager after his efforts in midfield. Thiago Motta is on in his place.
    • 79' Poli is replaced by Tissoni as Del Neri reacts to losing Pazzini by making a swift change.
    • 77' Pozzi attempts an ambitious header from the edge of the Inter box, but Julio Cesar holds on comfortably.
    • 75' Pazzini is shown a second yellow card for a cynical trip on Stankovic, and Sampdoria are down to 10 men. That was a matter of time, as for Pozzi, well...
    • 75' Goran Pandev comes on to replace Milito, who has worked his socks off in attack for the nine-man hosts.
    • 73' Sampdoria stroke the ball around in the Inter half, but Pozzi and Pazzini remain frustrated in attack.
    • 71' Storari waves his team-mates forward frantically after claiming a high ball in his box, and Sampdoria are not showing much going forward.
    • 69' Maicon and Sneijder combine down the right for Inter before the Dutchman whips over a devilish delivery, but Zauri stands firm to clear.
    • 67' Cambiasso is tripped by Semioli, and Inter can again build from a set-piece in their opponents' half.
    • 66' Milito and Sneijder have a mix up in communication as the corner is squandered, and Sampdoria can now build.
    • 65' Sneijder drives the resulting free-kick into the wall, and Inter have a corner which the Dutchman will take.
    • 63' Eto'o breaks from deep for Inter, before Milito is tripped by Lucchini, who is booked for his challenge.
    • 62' Ziegler surges down the left to test Maicon in a role reversal at the other end, and Sampdoria build once more.
    • 61' Maicon makes a powerful run down the right which Ziegler eventually ends with a robust challenge, but Inter are still firmly in contention.
    • 59' Palombo and Milito both go down clutching their legs as though they have been shot, but there was minimal contact again as we have a delay in play.
    • 58' Julio Cesar is smartly down to collect a curled effort from range by Guberti, and that is tidy goalkeeping.
    • 57' Pozzi takes another embarrassing dive under slight contact from Sneijder, but this time the referee sees through it.
    • 56' Eto'o is booked for an apparent dive, and Mourinho exaggerates an hysterical laugh on the touchline!
    • 55' Sampdoria enjoy a good spell of possession through Palombo and Semioli in particular, but Inter hold firm.
    • 53' Sneijder stands over a dangerous free-kick for Inter and, you guessed it - Pozzi creates a needless tussle in the box.
    • 51' The referee continues to have his work cut out as he calms the players down following a challenge from Poli on Sneijder.
    • 49' Semioli and Guberti exchange passes in the Inter half, but Sampdoria need to fashion more than this to breach the hosts' defence.
    • 47' Mourinho is stalking the touchline in a very fired-up manner as he watches his nine men form their defence.
    • 46' The second half is underway with Sampdoria kicking us off in their all-white strip. Let's hope for more football and less playacting in this period.
    • 45+3' The half-time whistle goes at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and Inter have contrived to give themselves an arduous task in this match against Sampdoria, with Ivan Cordoba and Walter Samuel both being shown red cards! It remains goalless.
    • 45+1' Luigi Del Neri is out on the touchline barking orders at his players, who are really not responding right now.
    • 45' Three minutes will be added at the end of this first half, and that is entirely due to the persistent bickering and handbags which have blighted this match.
    • 44' Zanetti makes a superb tackle to dispossess Pazzini, and Sampdoria are not creating much at the moment.
    • 43' Sampdoria stroke the ball around effortlessly in their half, but Inter are not being troubled as yet.
    • 42' Pozzi collides with Lucio, and the Sampdoria striker has forgotten how to play football and is concentrating more on diving at every opportunity.
    • 41' Lucio lumps the ball upfield with Inter boxed inside their own half, and surely Sampdoria must capitalise.
    • 39' Maicon slams into Zauri, and Inter are not able to keep their discipline at all in this match.
    • 38' Cordoba is shown the red card as a result of a second booking, and Inter are down to nine men now! The defender clatters Pozzi, who again makes a huge deal of the challenge and rolls around in apparent agony!
    • 36' Stankovic collides with Palombo and the bad blood continues.
    • 34' Pazzini petulantly trips Lucio off the ball, and this is pathetic! The Sampdoria forward is booked - it could so easily have been red.
    • 33' Cordoba is booked for dissent following the red card, and this is getting pretty ridiculous! Lucio is brought on to replace Muntari.
    • 32' Samuel is shown the red card! It is a straight red, despite the defender already being on a booking, and he simply elbowed Pozzi to the floor with the forward through on goal!
    • 31' Eto'o is disgusted with himself after squandering a promising opening with a dragged shot after Milito had headed the ball back into his path from the right of the penalty area!
    • 29' Samuel is booked for a frankly disgusting challenge on Pazzini, and that was not remotely necessary.
    • 27' Mourinho watches on glumly as his side continue to lack creativity for all their possession.
    • 25' Storari distributes the ball out sharply to Ziegler, but Guberti cannot latch on to the resulting through ball.
    • 24' Zanetti bides his time before taking a throw in deep inside the Inter half, and Sampdoria cannot get near the ball at the moment.
    • 23' Stankovic is scythed down by Pozzi on halfway, and the Sampdoria forward is booked.
    • 22' Sneijder is beginning to get his foot on the ball frequently for Inter as the hosts look to make their dominance count.
    • 21' Maicon skips down the right and cannot believe his luck as a goal kick is awarded after a challenge with Ziegler.
    • 19' Cordoba and Zanetti exchange passes in the Inter half, but the hosts are not creating much going forward as yet.
    • 18' Poli attempts a hugely ambitious drive from long range which Cesar is able to collect comfortably.
    • 17' Inter continue to dominate possession with patient passing before Milito loses the ball sloppily to Ziegler.
    • 16' Palombo slides a neat ball down the line to Pazzini, but Samuel charges across to make a strong challenge.
    • 15' Muntari is fouled by Pazzini, and the midfielder reacts very petulantly with a push to the Sampdoria forward's chest. It is all handbags and no cards are needed.
    • 13' Mourinho watches on as Inter break at pace through Sneijder and Stankovic, but the move peters out once more.
    • 12' Semioli is penalised for a robust challenge on Cambiasso, and Inter build once more from halfway.
    • 11' Sneijder dinks over a neat ball which narrowly fails to find its target in the box as Milito challenges with Zauri.
    • 9' Storari bides his time before punting a long ball upfield towards Pazzini, who fails to take it cleanly in his stride.
    • 8' Another strong run from Eto'o is eventually cut off by Lucchini as Inter begin to find their feet.
    • 7' Eto'o wins a corner with a bright run down the right wing, and Sneijder will whip this over.
    • 6' Cordoba and Samuel exchange passes in the Inter half as the hosts build slowly and patiently.
    • 5' Palombo charges up and lashes the free-kick into the Inter wall, and that is a waste.
    • 4' Maicon trips Pozzi on the edge of the Inter box, and this will be a very dangerous free-kick for Sampdoria.
    • 3' Stankovic collides heavily with Pozzi on halfway, and both get gingerly to their feet after staying down.
    • 2' Muntari slides in recklessly on Poli, but the referee shows some early leniency as he lets the challenge go.
    • 1' The first half is underway at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and Inter kick us off in their home strip.
    • - Sampdoria come into the match off the back of four straight wins in the league, against Fiorentina, Siena, Atalanta and Udinese.
    • - Inter have drawn their last two matches, against Napoli and Parma, following four straight victories.
    • - Internazionale: Cesar; Cordoba; Samuel; Maicon; Sneijder; Stankovic; Muntari; Cambiasso; Zanetti; Milito; Eto'o
    • - Sampdoria: Storari; Gastaldello; Zauri; Lucchini; Poli; Semioli; Ziegler; Guberti; Palombo; Pazzini; Pozzi
    • - Internazionale host Sampdoria at the Stadio Giuseppe looking to stretch their lead at the top of the Serie A table to 10 points.

  14. Cordoba shouldn't have been given the second yellow card.
Such fouls happen all the time.

What about the match against Milan?
Why did they send them off'?

The referees are given instructions to obstruct Inter, so that other teams can close the gap.
Shame to do that before the clash against Chelsea.

  19. I am Chelsea supporter and I am really worried. The Inter Milan players are so brutal and have no disciplin. They are a really dangerous team. They will probably try to injure a Chelsea player. They have got some really bad boys e.g. Lucio, Muntari and Maicon. I like players like Sneijder and Zanetti, but others are just crazy.
