    • 90+3' Almost a late chance for Genoa but Immobile's touch is heavy and much to Milan's relief, the ball rolls out for a goal kick.
    • 90+1' The hosts are guilty on a couple of occasions of playing rashly and losing possession when surely short passes to men in space to run down the clock would be advised.
    • 90' Four minutes of stoppage time for Milan to hold on for the three points.
    • 89' Pazzini is lucky not to be booked for a high foot going in for a challenge with Granqvist.
    • 88' Emanuelson, who behind El Shaarawy has been Milan's best player through what has been a tough 88 minutes so far, is replaced by Antonio Nocerino.

    • 77' GOAL MILAN! It has finally come! It's El Shaarawy with the close-range finish after Abate's powerful low cross. Superb through pass from Emanuelson to put the right-back in position. 1-0!

    • 50' Kucka lets rip from 35 yards but doesn't come close to testing Amelia. Goal kick.
    • 48' Abate's clever loft down the right flank just has too much on it for Emanuelson to catch.
    • 47' Pato creates space for himself on the right-hand side of the penalty area but Constant and El Shaarawy are just unable to get onto his low square ball. Would have been 1-0 if they had.

    • 32' Milan with a free-kick from the right which they're pretty annoyed wasn't given as advantage. Nonetheless, Emanuelson has his cross attempt after the restart closed down and cleared.
    • 31' Good inside cross from Abate but Granqvist is back to head away.
    • 30' Clever corner is played low to the nearby corner of the box where de Jong gets onto it and has an on target strike blocked! A few half-hearted shouts for handball but play continues.

    • 26' El Shaarawy feeds Abate on the right for a cross which takes a deflection and has to be pushed onto the crossbar by Frey. Milan corner coming up.
    • 25' Lovely ball from Montolivo from the right, headed down by Pato but nobody is there to receive it but Seb Frey in the Genoa goal.

    • 22' Jankovic back-heel to Bertolacci on the right wing but before he can fire in a cross, El Shaarawy is back for the steal.
    • 20' Bertolacci almost finds a hole to thread a through pass into the Milan danger zone. It catches the leg of Bonera and is cleared.
    • 19' Try as Antonelli might, his hustle is not enough to force another error from Zapata and the Colombian sees it out for a goal kick.
    • 18' Great challenge by de Jong allows compatriot Emanuelson a chance to burst forward down the right but his through pass in search of Pato is poor.
    • 17' Error by Zapata! Antonelli capitalises with a driven cross which Amelia flaps at - it richochets off Immobile and wide of the post! Let-off there for the hosts.
    • 16' Great skill by Pato to turn past Granqvist and stride forward but he is lucky not to be booked for a pretty blatant dive, knocking the ball past Moretti and going to ground.
    • 15' Genoa attempt a move forward but are slugging in passing the ball around allowing a Milan counter which ends quickly.
    • 13' Unfortunately for the hosts the delivery is not great and fails to get past the first man.
    • 12' Yepes is tripped by Kucka on the left and Milan will send this free-kick into a crowded box.
    • 11' A brief delay as Antonini receives treatment for a knock.
    • 10' Almost a chance for Pato but his first touch lets him down and he is forced away from goal.

    • 5' Bartolacci is fouled 30 yards from goal and this is good territory for Genoa's free-kick.
    • 4' Jankovic catches Antonini and Milan have a free-kick in the middle of the park.
    • 3' Both Pato and El Shaarawy are unable to get past the Genoa back line as Milan look to stride forward early on.
