    Walter Samuel's header after just three minutes meant Inter edged a nervy Serie A derby 1-0 against rivals AC Milan. More

    • Manger Andrea Stramaccioni walks over to the Inter fans and chants back at them in overjoyous mood. His side are now alongside Lazio on 15 points while Milan are still in the bottom half of the table.
    • 90+3 Final whistle blows. Inter have won a tight, tight derby 1-0 and fully deserve it.
    • 90+3 Whistles ring round the San Siro while the ball flies in for Yepes but he's offside.
    • 90+2 Time for one more attack for AC..
    • 90+1 WHAT A CHANCE! Yepes does brilliantly to poke the ball throug to Robinho and it's a one-on-one with the keeper. But he gest taken down by Handanović and he's offside anyway. So close for AC.
    • 90' But it amounts to nothing, that's been the story of the night for AC.
    • 88' AC have it back but Inter are all behind the ball now, it's not easy to break them down. A deflection off Samuel from a Montolivo shot goes out for a corner.
    • 87' Yepes blatently blocks Guarin and is now carded as well. That was very silly from the defender.
    • 86' Allegri cuts a nervous figure. AC's boss was under pressure after a poor start to the season and if they fail to turn this around against ten men things will only get scarier. There is still time though.
    • 85' That was a promising attack building for AC and they start again with Abate on the right. Play switches left for Robinho but he can only find the arms of Handanović with his cross.
    • 84' Montolivo draws a yellow for a handball which he knew very little about but fair is fair. He doesn't like it though.
    • 83' Ranocchia gets jealous and earns one himself for a hack on Bojan.
    • 82' So that will be a yellow card for Robinho.
    • 81' Samuel seems to pull down Robinho in the area but Valeri sees a dive from Robinho which replays back ups.
    • 80' Zanetti ventures forward and puts in Palacio expertly but it's a dud of a shot. Great chance for Inter.
    • 79' WOW. Boateng fires it over to Robinho at the far post who nods it to Pazzini. The Italian striker struggles to control it and slightly touches the goalkeeper, which draws a foul.
    • 78' But how long will it last? Inter need to start gaining and keeping possession if they are not to run out of gas.
    • 77' Bojan strikes it off a corner and it's blocked again. Zanetti is leading this Inter shut out on their arch rivals at the moment.
    • 75' Montolivo puts is a poor, weak pass across Inter's goal and Zanetti boots it out for a corner! Taking absolutely no chances the skipper.
    • 74' Robinho picks up the ball on the outside of the box and delicately strokes the ball into the path of Pazzini but his legs aren't long enough and the ball runs out.
    • 73' Yepes grabs the shirt briefly of Palacio, who goes down, but nothing is given by Valeri.
    • 72' Shots raining in from distance by AC, now Boateng takes aim but it's another block.
    • 71' Juan Jesus flicks the ball away from the threat posed by Boateng with a very accrobatic effort. Gret commitment from the Inter man but Kevin Prince should have led with his head.
    • 70' Now Milito comes off for Palacio, so in the end the Argentinian number stays constant.
    • 69' But first El Shaarawy trades places with Giampaolo Pazzini for AC.
    • 68' This is exactly the situation which brings out the best in work horses like Cambiasso and he's about to be joined by a compatriot you sense. Rodrigo Palacio is warming up.
    • 67' There is a difference. Bojan slips when trying to take aim and Inter survive.
    • 67' Is this game repeating itself?! Monty has another great shot from outside the area, Handanović blocks in a similar manner and Bojan follows up...
    • 66' That's credit to Inter though above all else.
    • 65' It's been more than 15 minuest since Nagatomo was sent for an early shower and Montolivo's effort asids, AC haven't managed to capitalise.
    • 63' Montolivo lands a pearler on target! Handanović stands up very well to him and Bojan recollects to cross the ball over the Inter keeper and find Boateng but he is well off balance.
    • 62' Robinho shakes himself off by dinking a through pass but it goes to no-one thanks to Cambiasso slightly blocking it.
    • 61' Inter have not shut down here and Milito makes a dangerous run forward but is caught offside by a smidgen.
    • 60' It's a positive sign for AC however. They were not doing that very often in the first half.
    • 59' Abate links up nicely with Boateng in that classic AC style of passing and over lapping. However it leads to nothing.
    • 58' The unlcuky man is De Sciglio as Allegri seemingly punishes him for being wasteful with the ball.
    • 57' Robinho does come on. The Brazilian has only scored once in his last nine games though, no better time to change that for the ex-Manchester City man.
    • 56' De Sciglio has time and space on the left wing to pick out a perfect pass but smashes against Inter defenders, that's a waste.
    • 55' Robinho is warming himself up on the AC bench, this could be exciting....
    • 54' But the midfielder blazes high and wide. Inter need not worry too mch unless AC get their shooting boots on. It falls to Montolivo again but same result!
    • 53' AC test out the ten men of Inter with a free kcik taken by Emanuelson, Milto heads it away and it falls to Montolivo...
    • 51' Now Cassano is off with defender Álvaro Pereira coming on, so that's Stramaccioni's plan is it? To batten down the hatches and hope.
    • 50' In the meantime AC make another substitution with Bonera going off for Abate, welcome to a feisty game Ignazio!
    • 49' How will Inter respond, they are realigning their defensive line but manager Andrea Stramaccioni will be mulling this over right now
    • 47' That turns into a RED CARD for the Japanese player as he handles the ball in midfield, it looked accidental but he's off.
    • 47' Otherwise we are as we were but Nagatomo gets a second yellow card early on
    • 46' Coutinho hasn't come out for the second half for Inter and Fredy Guarín has replaced him.
    • 46' The restart whistle sounds and we're back on line here...
    • 45' Half-time sounds and the players head for the tunnel with the score at 1-0 to Inter.
    • 44' Javier Zanetti has been a quiet presence on the field in this first half, he must be pleased with his team's first half efforts
    • 43' Handanović concedes a corner and Bojan takes it, all AC players in the box atack it but they don't get close to the ball
    • 42' Emanuelson puts the creeps up Samuel and crosses menacingly but Ranocchia is the saviour for Inter
    • 40' Five minuets to go until half-time and AC deserve to have a goal for all their chances. It's been they who have contributed more to this game but they have 'niente' as their fans will say
    • 39' It works though as Emanuelson has a chance to get on the end of a chip through but he gets completely clattered by Handanović and Valeri blames the striker, that's a little harsh.
    • 38' Mario Yepes breaks forward form centre back but then brings the ball all the way back
    • 36' Emanuelson starts a nice passing sequence which leads to little and De Jong loses his cool and as he lunges for the ball he trips an Inter player, that's a yellow as well
    • 35' AC then race up the field and Boateng has a great chance but he hasn't bought his shooting boots in the first half here
    • 34' Inter corner and it goes deep but an AC head gets it away, Nagatomo re-launches the attack
    • 33' Yellow card for Mexes and he complains at length to the referee but dissent doesn't help his cause
    • 31' Philippe Coutinho and Milito exchange passes, one accidentily, but the Argentine blazes far and wide
    • 30' Cassano takes on Bonera down to his byline but the defnder does his day job well and prevents the cross.
    • 29' Bonera launches forward on the right and pulls it back brilliantly for Boateng who shoots strong and hard, but wide
    • 28' Emanuelson, Boateng and El Shaarawy all combine to cut Inter up around the penalty area but nhting comes of it
    • 27' Another Inter wave and Mexes pushes the jumping Milito in the back, the Frenchman needs to keep in this cauldron
    • 26' Cambiasso picks up the ball and fires a direct ball for Milito but it's a poor pass and AC pick up possession
    • 25' And now a corner from the left foot of Boateng but he can't find anyone and it goes out for a throw, if only El Shaarawy were a bit taller
    • 24' Montolivo goes down and Cambiasso is the guilty man but he escapes yellow, free kick AC
    • 22' The striker takes a long shot but it goes staright at Handanović in Inter's goal
    • 21' El Shaarawy looks the danger man for AC but he also looks like a lone force as his team go straight to him every time and Inter are handling him well
    • 20' Samir Handanović gobbles up a nasty looking cross from left back Mattia De Sciglio, AC need a lot of more of those
    • 18' Stephan El Shaarawy goes really close to getting a nick on a ball through but Yuto Nagatomo gets back barvely to halt his prgress and the ball runs out
    • 16' Inter attacking down the left wing and AC up the right, midfield men are not seeing much of the ball
    • 15' Headed by Andrea Ranocchia in Inter's defence, AC not yet looking threatening form the set piece
    • 14' AC continue with their famed passing game and have worked a good field position and then a corner..
    • 13' He goes short to Riccardo Montolivo who strikes it excellently but it goes to the left-hand side of the goal. Great effort from the former Fiorentina man
