    • 90+3' So, Atletico are level on 65 points with Real Madrid after that one-sided victory. Falcao adding two more goals to his tally. Was that their best performance in a while? Leave a comment, or tweet me (@rossdunbar93).
    • 90+3' FT: Atletico Madrid 5-0 Granada
    • 90+2' Radamel Falcao wants the hat-trick! Long-range effort from 30 yards trickles past the post.
    • 87' Substitute Oliver Torres getting involved in the action. Tidy 18-year-old midfielder. Similar to Koke in his use of the ball. Atletico don't seem in much rush at this stage.
    • 84' He might be only 21 - but Koke is performing well beyond that age. He has controlled this game, providing a base in midfield to recycle possession, not to mention, his involvement in pretty much all the goals.
    • 78' Roberto had to react quickly there to tip over Koke's near-post corner kick which looked like it was creeping under the crossbar. Good goalkeeping.
    • 73' Lovely footwork from Diego Buonanotte in the Atletico penalty box. He twisted, and turned, yet couldn't place the ball past Courtois. Still 5-0 Atletico.
    • 72' SUB: Filipe off, Insua on.
    • 71' Radamel Falcao's scoring rate really is fantastic in La Liga. The Colombian has 33 goals in 33 games for Atletico Madrid. (From @optajose).
    • 70' SUB: Raul Garcia off, Oliver Torres on.
    • 69' GOAL! It's easy-peasy for Atletico Madrid. Adrian Lopez holds the ball before releasing left-back Filipe who beats the offside trap and flicks the ball over Roberto. For the second-week running, Granada concede five goals.
    • 67' SUB: Costa off, Adrian on.
    • 67' SUB: Ighalo off, Buonanotte on.
    • 66' Radamel Falcao's power and pace roams into the space behind the Granada back-four. His shot goes wide, though.
    • 65' Easy save for Thibaut Courtois. Granada's Mainz heads Brahimi's set-piece straight into his hands.
    • 64' YELLOW: Miranda (Atletico Madrid)
    • 63' GOAL! Atletico Madrid make it 4-0 through Raul Garcia. Again, a set-piece from the talented Koke is met at the near-post by the midfielder who gets enough on the ball to take it past Roberto.
    • 61' Atletico Madrid defender Miranda has been excellent today. The Brazilian has been dominant in the air, good on the ball and perfect in his timing of the tackle.
    • 56' Raul Garcia comes within inches of adding a fourth for Atletico. Rodriguez finds the midfielder at the far-post and after a strong stop from Roberto, the former Osasuna man hits the post.
    • 54' YELLOW: Ighalo (Granada).
    • 52' YELLOW: Brahimi (Granada).
    • 51' Granada not committing many men forward, even when Nolito gets to the byline to swing in a cross. No surprise that Atletico have the best defensive record in La Liga.
    • 46' GOAL! Falcao bundles in his 24th of the season - his goal tally from last year - after a dangerous cross from Koke.
    • 45' SUB: Nyom off, Ortiz on.
    • 45' Ready to get underway for the second 45 here in Madrid. Atletico leading by two goals.
    • 45+1' HT: Atletico Madrid 2-0 Granada
    • 44' From @powertablesports: Granada have scored in 47% and conceded in 87% of away matches in La Liga.
    • 42' An incredible amount of foul-throws so far from Granada. How about a yellow card for every foul throw-in?
    • 40' Granada defender Nyom is treading on thin ice. Two challenges since his booking in the middle of the half that could have resulted in a second caution.
    • 36' It continues to be one-way traffic here. Good pressing from the Mattress Makers with young Koke dictating the flow of passing. Of all the players in Europe's 'big-five' leagues to have seven, or more, assists, he is the youngest. (@optajose).
    • 35' Roberto makes a comfortable save from Falcao's back-post header. That will do his confidence the world of good. A nervy start for the Granada defence.
    • 32' Some excellent football from Atletico Madrid in the first 30 minutes. "Their best football for some time" according to a commentator. This looks like two, going on four, or five for the home side.
    • 27' GOAL! Just seconds after nearly sticking the ball in his own net, Falcao rounds off a fine move with Rodriguez setting him up perfectly, a few yards from goal, for the striker to score his 23rd of the season.
    • 25' Close! Falcao, covering his defensive duties, heads Gabriel Torje's free-kick over his own crossbar.
    • 21' Referee has a stern word with Cristian Rodriguez after a strong challenge on Nyom. The Uruguyan was late in the tackle, but the Granada full-back over-reacts slightly.
    • 19' Granada's only bright spark, thus far, is Nolito on the left-hand side of midfield. The former Benfica and Barcelona forward has looked to ask questions of the full-back at every opportunity.
    • 16' Costa links with Falcao to find some space for the Colombian forward inside the box, but his right-foot strikes hits the side-netting. Atletico, the dominant side in the first quarter.
    • 15' Diego Costa is just a few yards offside, as he converts another chance in-front of goal. That was a composed finish after a well-worked move involving Falcao.
    • 13' Granada's Brahimi makes an ambitious, surging run into the Atletico Madrid penalty box, but he is eventually crowded out and crosses over the bar.
    • 11' Koke tries his luck from 30 yards. Filipe made the short pass inside to the midfielder who dragged his effort past Roberto's left-hand post.
    • 8' Costa is taken down robustly by Nyom. He isn't too happy with that and the two exchange some choice words. Atletico spurred on by a good home crowd.
    • 6' Hesitant play in possession from Roberto is pounced on by the lively Costa. The ball takes a wicked deflection into the path of Radamel Falcao but the Granada goalkeeper reacted quickly enough to prevent a second goal.
    • 4' It had been a relatively bright start from Granada up until that point. A long, aimless ball forced Roberto to launch the ball into the stands leading to Atletico's opening goal.
    • 3' GOAL: Diego Costa nips ahead of the Granada keeper Roberto to head the home side in-front. Lovely chipped ball in from Raul Garcia on the left-hand side. 1-0 Atletico Madrid.
    • 1' Underway in Madrid. Hopefully the early game of head-tennis in the opening exchanges isn't a sign of what is to come.
    • 16:01 As the two captains go through the pre-match rituals, from @optajose: Atletico Madrid are unbeaten in eight matches against Granada in the league.
    • 15:59 The teams enter the Vicente Calderon. Pitch bathed in sunshine on the far side, but shadowed by the near stand.
    • 15:56 Atletico enter this one off the back of two consecutive draws against Valencia and Getafe, respectively. Granada have gone seven games without a win. How do you see this one panning out?
    • 15:50 TEAMS: ATLETICO: Courtois, Juanfran, Miranda, Godin, Filipe, Koke, R.Garcia, Gabi, C.Rodriguez, Costa, Falcao… Subs: Insua, Diaz, Adrian, Asenjo, Manquillo, Niguez, Munoz /// GRANADA: Roberto, Nyom, Diakhate, Mainz, Angulo, Torje, Rico, Brahimi, Nolito, Ighalo, Aranda… Subs: El Arabi, Buonanotte, Ortiz, Iriney, Tono, Lopez, Recio
    • 15:46 With Real Madrid in action tonight at San Mames, Atletico can go level on points with Los Blancos with the win tonight. At the other end of the spectrum, 17th-placed Granada will look to move clear of the bottom pack.
    • 15:45 Good afternoon folks, I'm Ross Dunbar and I'll be bringing you the action from Atletico Madrid against Granada. A win is vital for both sides, with plenty to play for at both ends of the table. Get involved: leave a comment here, or you can tweet me (@rossdunbar93).

  2. I think the best decision for Falcao is to stay with Atletico for the next season and do with them what Dortmund, Malaga or Galata did this year! If they stay together, they can enjoy a fantastic season with CL football!
