90+3' The referee finally brings the game to a close and Barcelona have three crucial and deserved points.- 89' The home crowd are departing as they think the three points are won. They are probably right. Piti hits Pinto's side netting from distance.
- 88' Galvez takes the free kick won by Tamudo and blasts an awful shot high and wide. Pathetic.
- 87' Tamudo is still causing headaches for Barcelona as he has done on numerous occasions in the past. He is fouled by Villa on the edge of the Barça box and Rayo have another chance.
86' A chance for Alves to shoot in the box.... and he scuffs his shot when he should bury it and finish Rayo off.- 85' There is still plenty of life in this game, Rayo have not given up yet.
84' Another change for Rayo Vallecano. Chori Dominguez is off and Isaac comes on.- 83' Rayo clear from the corner and go on the attack with Pinto called into action to save a shot from full back Tito. Decent effort.

So for them to come to this ground under strength was always going to be a big ask.

messi messi very messi seriously i played soccer in the eightys it was not possible as good as this guy is to score goals when he feel likes . all these coaches should give up there jobs, my coach once said to me this guy is our threat so your job today is to track this guy for 90 mins plus let the game be won around any other player but not this guy off the ball marking as close as possible at half time this guy who have the most goals in the season opted to be sub, was so uncomfortable, no footballer like to be closey marked and its amazes me the amount of freedom messi plays in europe untrack kudos to the best coach jose jose who always has someone closely marking him,

Another great performance by the world's number one and by the great barca !!! 18 consecutive scoring games for leo !!! One more (against celta) and he will have scored in a whole la liga round....the man is not of this world....he's an extraterrestrial, a god !!! He proved it (once again) last tuesday against milan, where he proved tha he undoes even italian defences (despite the so called myth that he can't score against italians except form the penalty spot, !!!!
