    • - It's all over! Ten-man Aberdeen have beaten Rangers, and that wraps up a miserable week for Walter Smith's men!
    • 90+4' WEIR!! Tries a last-gasp shot from the edge of the box but sends it a foot or so wide. That must surely be that!
    • 90+3' Weir plays it into the box to Boyd, who turns and SHOOTS!!! Makes extremely weak contact and it bounces harmlessly to Langfield.
    • 90+2' Aberdeen try to shepherd the ball towards the corner flag, but they lose it and the 10 men are back under pressure.
    • 90+1' Lee Miller is fouled by Bougherra, and he will stay down and make the most of this stoppage.
    • 89' Fleck crosses diagonally from the left towards Boyd, who directs his header over!
    • 88' Papac swings in a cross from the Rangers left but Novo cannot bring the ball under his spell.
    • 86' Aberdeen change - Darren Mackie on for the excellent Michael Paton.
    • 84' Yellow card John Fleck for what looked a pretty fair shoulder-to-shoulder challenge.
    • 83' Fleck plays a clever ball to the left side of the Aberdeen box and Boyd gets there first, but his touch is horribly heavy and he puts the ball out for a goal-kick.
    • 81' There's just no precision from Rangers, and a poor touch from Miller hands the ball back to the hosts.
    • 80' Fleck's delivery from the left has been poor today, but he finally gets one on target and Miller mis-controls in the Aberdeen box.
    • 77' BOYD AGAIN!! He flashes a left-foot shot side - it's not a sitter, but he will be very disappointed not to have scored today.
    • 75' Rangers make a change: Madjid Bougherra on for Steven Whittaker.
    • 72' Boyd crashes to earth inside the Aberdeen box, but it's a very optimistic penalty shout.
    • 70' Another attacking move from Walter Smith, who brings on Nacho Novo for the last 20 minutes.
    • 69' An odd injury here, as Duff manages to kick his own man Young. He should be OK.
    • 67' Now it's Mulgrew with a crucial clearance as Davis fails to land his delivery on the mark.
    • 66' Boyd has a shot blocked before Whittaker plays the ball back in... Foster heads clear.
    • 64' Chris Maguire is sacrificed as Stuart Duff comes on to beef up the Aberdeen midfield - can they hang on for the best part of half an hour?
    • 61' Boyd and Charlie Mulgrew were also booked for their part in the ensuing melee after Kerr's dismissal.
    • 60' RED CARD!! Mark Kerr is off after picking up a second booking! Aberdeen lose their skipper and he is furious. It looked a relatively innocuous challenge on Naismith!
    • 58' BOYD!!! He is found right in front of goal and fires a powerful shot but Langfield helps it over!
    • 57' MULGREW!! His low free-kick takes a touch off the wall and bobbles towards the bottom-right corner, but Papac races across to clear!
    • 55' Pawlett is brought down at the edge of the box by Papac - yellow card and a great chance for Aberdeen.
    • 53' Aberdeen's Grassi is wearing rather a fetching red and white striped face mask. He is having a good game nonetheless.
    • 51' Boyd takes another heavy touch up front. He always looks dangerous, but in a ragged sort of way.
    • 49' Bad challenge by Mark Kerr, flying in late on Naismith. Yellow card.
    • 48' Miller has a first sight of goal, hitting a low left-foot shot from the edge of the box that does not really test the keeper.
    • 46' The second half is under way, and Walter Smith has brought Kenny Miller on for Kyle Lafferty.
    • 45+1' Half-time and Aberdeen have the edge thanks to Lee Miller's goal! It is an entertaining encounter and we should have an excellent second half.
    • 45' Boyd! Ghosts to the near post but directs his header off target!
    • 44' Rangers corner on the left, played in and headed clear. Aberdeen defending well, here.
    • 42' Whittaker tries a trick to drag the ball to the right byline, but his touch is heavy and he succeeds only in dragging the ball out for a goal kick.
    • 40' Boyd barrels into Langfield with a Nat Lofthouse-esque shoulder charge. The keeper takes it with fairly good humour, and it's an Aberdeen free-kick.
    • 38' Lafferty lets the ball run through his legs to Boyd who is crowded out in the Aberdeen box. Fleck fires it back in from the left but he once again finds the head of a defender.
    • 37' Fleck hits a dipping long-range shot that Langfield initially fumbles but grabs at the second attempt.
    • 36' Rangers' final ball has not been good this afternoon, and Steven Davis delivers another poor pass straight to the chest of a defender.
    • 34' Boyd fires from a tight angle! He holds off his marker and gets a shot away, but Jamie Langfield punches the ball to safety!
    • 33' Kerr is fouled and Aberdeen have a free-kick, but they would rather have the advantage and tell referee Thomson so.
    • 32' Miller tries to flick a header doown the left touchline for Paton, but Weir is across again to tidy up for Rangers.
    • 30' Whittaker drives inside from the right towards the box, he is being tugged back and GOES TO GROUND INSIDE THE AREA!! Referee Craig Thomson says no penalty! He was being pulled back but he certainly made the most of it...
    • 29' Kerr plays it to the edge of the Rangers box, and this time Weir is able to make an interception.
    • 27' More ironic cheers from the home fans as Fleck belts a long-range shot high over the bar.
    • 26' SUBLIME AND RIDICULOUS FROM RANGERS!! They go through two on one, Boyd lifts the ball over the remaining defender, then hammers a wayward shot(?) that smacks Lafferty on the head and flashes over! Should have been one each.
    • 23' Knocked long for Boyd again, but his attempted hook on to Lafferty is poor. He's not the archetypal target man, is Boyd.
    • 22' Better from the visitors as they build into the final third - but Naismith plays an awful ball for Whittaker that rolls harmlessly out for a throw!
    • 21' Rangers have no time on the ball, and it is typical to see John Fleck wallop a hurried clearance in the general direction of Boyd. It's not very precise.
    • 19' Still Aberdeen pour forward, and Mark McGhee's side are looking to kill their visitors off. Rangers still very much in 'Stuttgart' mode.
    • 17' GOAL!!! ABERDEEN ARE IN FRONT!! The ball is fired low into the box from the left by Paton and Lee Miller diverts it past McGregor! It's a bit scrappy but no more than the home side deserve!
    • 15' Aberdeen are right on top here, and the SPL leaders look very uncertain at the back. David Weir is a stalwart, but his lack of mobility is shocking at times.
    • 12' Rangers scramble away another home attack, then finally get some breathing space when Ross crosses into the arms of McGregor.
    • 10' Aberdeen win a free-kick 25 yards out... struck left-footed by Charlie Mulgrew and it dips just over the bar!! McGregor was rooted to the spot!
    • 8' Rangers knock it long into the Aberdeen box where Boyd heads it down, but he cannot find his strike partner Lafferty.
    • 6' Pawlett cuts inside from the Aberdeen right and continues his run - he beats two opponents and sees his shot deflected for a corner. Great stuff.
    • 5' The corner finds an unmarked Lee McCulloch and he should do better with it, but heads well wide at the near post.
    • 4' Lafferty squares from the right towards Boyd, but Kerr races back to put the ball out for a corner on the Rangers right.
    • 2' Pressure on Rangers keeper Allan McGregor, but he is adjudged to have been fouled by Miller. The home fans in good voice.
    • 1' Rangers kick off, playing from left to right as we see it.
    • - It is a sunny but chilly day on the north-east coast of Scotland, good conditions for football.
    • - A win today would take the Gers four points clear at the top having played the same number of games as Celtic. Aberdeen's problem this season has been too many draws. They have just three wins and three defeats from their 12 matches to far and are in mid-table.
    • - Rangers make a couple of changes from the side that lost to Stuttgart in midweek - Steven Naismith and John Fleck come in, while Madjid Bougherra is on the bench.
    • - We are at Pittodrie where Walter Smith is looking for his first away win against Aberdeen in his second spell as Rangers boss!
  • Summary

    • 90+4' WEIR!! Tries a last-gasp shot from the edge of the box but sends it a foot or so wide. That must surely be that!
    • 90+3' Weir plays it into the box to Boyd, who turns and SHOOTS!!! Makes extremely weak contact and it bounces harmlessly to Langfield.

  10. #110 I have great difficulty in resisting the urge to reply to the likes of Haig and todd, so Iknow how you feel, but they, neither of them, have the brains to make a wind-up worth it, so I just ignore them.
Ripping the pish is the name of the game on here timalloy, it's great!! This afternoon's wee session was great, hopefully when green2thebone gets back on he'll read back on it and have a laugh, it's nothing personal with me, just banter; that said when I had a pop at you all this afternoon, you were getting a wee bit near the knuckle, but to all of your credit, you wound your necks in and, without any bile at all the patter, albeit directed at me...barstards... was brill!

  13. #105 ceeerect! timalloy, I have the power of the abuse button, and I make good use of it, but let me tell you that anybody I've 'stuck in' was given the opportunity to temper their posts, they were asked point blank to stop with the unacceptable content and they were warned by Yahoo that the content of their posts breached not only the community guidelines, the terms and conditions of service and the bounds of decency, but the law. I have had 2 people prosecuted for offences under the racism act and I make absolutely no excuse for it. (You may have noticed their monickers missing from the forum). This is an unmoderated forum, and hopefully it stays that way, so we all have to do it ourselves, there are bounds of decency and respect which must be maintained. So now you know! That said I couldn't give a monkey's left ball what anyone says to me personally, there is absolutely no chance you will offend me... I will give as good as I get, without bile or bigotry... it's an art! So the story going around that I 'stick people in that have a pop at me' is absolute rubbish.

  15. timalloy; as I have said to laurence, BTW I hope you come and post on a more regular basis Laurence!, my take on the game was that Rangers fans today must be feeling like we've been feeling for a wee while now; strikers that couldn't hit an elephant on the a-rse with a banjo. What do you think it is about pro footballers who can't control a ball? I'm at a loss!!

    good you wont b back
this forum is about football but today some bile spillers came on and i have to
say it made my blood boil so i had my say if you come from the orkney isles
and wernt involved then good on you but i was only pointing out a more recent atrocity
than the jim torrbet affair not looking to offend anyone quite the contrary but i you want to stick around or come back on then you better ask LYSY DHICK SICK os he is the YAHOO POLICE
    INT YE LYSY

From timalloy, on Sat 28 Nov 10:00PM
  17. Laurence, no apology necessary, I know exactly how you feel, believe me!
The dons had a cracking result today, was it a surprise, not a bit of it, they always rise to occasion when 'gers come calling. I did watch that game, and, if the truth be told, the score flattered Aberdeen. Rangers had so many glaring opportunities that the game should have been out of sight for Aberdeen. That said, as a 'tic man and a true 90 minute bigot, I was more than glad with the outcome. On a big plus though, some of the young lads on that park today aquitted themselves very well... both sides I'm talking about, so maybe there is a bit of hope for football in Scotland in the not so distant future eh?

From lysdexic, on Sat 28 Nov 9:58PM
  18. AYE LYSY
    ANYWAY ALL THAT S.HITE ASIDE
WHAT A RESULT FOR THE SHEEP SHAGGERS TODAY
grfcwere never in the game and then there was the usual ref's help with the sending off
but then they should have had a pen in the first half so the ref wasn't all bad

From timalloy, on Sat 28 Nov 9:51PM
  19. Yes tim, i have to agree there is a lot of offensive **** on here from both sides. Yours maybe wasn't the worst and I did not intend to single you out, but

    1. Your post was the most recent
    2. It was about where I come from

Anyway, you can say what you want. I came on here to speak about football, but that's obviously not what this forum is about. Don't think I will be back

From Laurence, on Sat 28 Nov 9:49PM
  20. timalloy; I can just see our matthew in the pineapple, sitting squirming, waiting for the roof to fall in; the alter boy looks at him in his Rangers Tartan Kilt... with the quizzical look in his eye of 'what the feck is he doing in here' Now the bold matthew, not being of our persuasion, might take that as another kind of look.... if you catch my drift. Well I don't need to elaborate, but there'll be an opening for heavy pelters over the next few days.... watch out for the wind-up!
