    Time:90'
    • St. Johnstone
    • Rangers
    • 93 It's all over! A sublime win for Saint Johnstone.
    • 90 Three minutes of stoppage to be played.
    • 88 Saints sub: Gary Irvine on for Chris Millar.
    • 86 This has been a very impressive performance from Saint Johnstone, Rangers look clueless and disjointed.
    • 83 Saints sub: Colin Samuel on for Cillian Sheridan.
    • 82 "We want five!" cry the home fans.
    • 80 That is the first time Rangers have conceeded four in the league since they lost against Hearts in September 2007.
    • 79 Goal for Saint Johnstone. Murray Davidson scores for the Saints. Dubbery heads the ball in and Davidson spins off his marker to apply the finish. 4-1 to the Saints.
    • 76 St Johnstone sub: The excellent Felipe Morais gets a standing ovation as he is replaced by Murray Davidson.
    • 75 Rangers sub: Novo is on for Danny Wilson.
    • 73 Lafferty pulls the ball back to Edu and the American hits it over from 14 yards out. Anything on target would surely have seen the ball nestle in the back of the net.
    • 72 Fantastic effort from Jody Morris. He chases back 60 yards to close down Naismith and to put the ball behind for a corner.
    • 70 So will the Saints make a change? They look to be holding on quite comfortably.
    • 68 It looks like Nacho Novo is warming up for the visitors.
    • 67 The ball is played in toward David but Mackay steps out just in time to catch him offside.
    • 63 Or was it a good tackle? Kyle Lafferty looked to dive there which Jody Morris was furious about and the Saints captain has been booked for dissent.
    • 62 Naismith looked to be in but Anderson was there to make the tackle.
    • 60 Which is headed behind for a goal kick.
    • 59 Whittaker slides a lovely ball through to Davis and his cross is blocked behind for a corner.
    • 58 As soon as Rangers touch the ball there is a Saint Johnstone defender in their face. They are not giving an inch.
    • 56 The ball is clipped in behind for Lefferty to run down and he is fouled by Dubbery. Free kick in a decent position for Rangers.
    • 54 Rangers work the ball well and play a good cross in but Papac is offside. What on earth was Papac of all people doing in an offside position?
    • 52 Danny Wilson is finally back on. Ally McCoist was furious with the officials at how long that was taking.
    • 50 Problems for Rangers. A lot of blood is pouring from Danny Wilson's nose and they cannot stop the bleeding. His white shirt is awash with claret.
    • 49 Graeme Smith takes a little time picking up the ball and Kyle Lafferty slides in on him which luckily the goalkeeper avoids. That was a little reckless from Lafferty.
    • 47 6189 have braved the conditions tonight. Congratulations to them.
    • 46 Rangers have made two changes at half time. Lafferty and Edu are on for Thomson and Boyd.
    • 46 The players are back out on the pitch and we are underway.
    • 45 Peep-peep-peep. Half time in Perth.
    • 44 Grainger launches a long throw toward Dubbery but Allan McGregor sprints out to gather the ball.
    • 42 But they cannot get the ball past the first man.
    • 41 Steven Naismith piles in on Morais and St Johnstone will have a chance of a free kick near the right touch line.
    • 39 Liam Craig hits a low, skidding shot from 35 yards which falls just a foot wide. Allan McGregor was clearly worried - he was hurrying across his box at a rate of knots.
    • 38 The tricky Filipe Morais crosses in from the left into Deuchar who heads into the keeper's hands.
    • 36 3-1 to St. Johnstone and it is another own goal. The cross comes in from Morais out right and he finds Liam Craig who heads toward goal but it takes a deflection off of Lee McCulloch and past the unmoved goalkeeper.
    • 35 Morais crosses low to the front post and Danny Wilson heads it clear.
    • 33 Morais - who is having a very good match - steals possession in midfield and immediately breaks forward. He plays the ball out wide to Sheridan who cuts in on goal and drills a shot to the near post and hits the net. But sadly for him it is the side of the net, not the back of it. The Saints look frightening on the counter attack.
    • 31 The defender was very close to his opponent and had no chance to move his arms out of the way. The referee interpreted that as not a pen.
    • 30 The ball is played inside to Kenny Miller who looks to bend a shot a first time from the edge of the box. Steven Anderson closes the shot down quickly but clearly stops it with his arm.
    • 28 It is raining cats and dogs in Perth.
    • 25 Boys plays a brilliant ball over the top to the onrushing Naismith but Graeme Smith sprints off his line to gather the ball. A lovely ball from Boyd.
    • 24 Dubbery only clears the ball as far as Kenny Miller on the edge of the box and he hits a shot over the bar.
    • 23 Saint Johnstone have clearly been sent out with a shoot on sight policy.
    • 22 Rangers enjoy good possession in the St Johnstone half but they cannot break down the midfield and defence of the Saints. The home team intercept the ball and again attack quickly, working a shot for Liam Craig who hits a shot first time from the edge of the box.
    • 20 Saint Johnstone are playing a disciplined diamond formation which Rangers are having problems to deal with. Filipe Morais in particular is having alot of time on the ball.
    • 19 Dubbery pumps a free kick into Deuchar and the home team keep some good possession in Rangers territory, but they can't work a shot and Rangers clear.
    • 18 Is that the reaction from Champions Elect?
    • 15 Rangers pull a goal back. The Ibrox boys take turns to have shots from the edge of the box, only to find them stopped from last ditch, back to the wall defending from the home side. The ball eventually finds its way to Steven Davis who threads the ball through to Sasa Papac who beats the keeper at the near post from an acute angle.
    • 14 In terms of territory it has been all Rangers, but the Saints are playing well on the break.
    • 12 Two nil to Saint Johnstone. The Saints are having alot of luck down the left and they clear the ball out to Chris Millar who cuts in on his right and hits a shot from 25 yards out. The shot takes a wicked deflection off Danny Wilson to leave Allan McGregor helpless.
    • 8 A brilliant start for the Saints as they continue their excellent home scoring record.
    • 7 One nil to Saint Johnstone. Again the Saints clear the ball long and again it is Sheridan who chases the ball down. He hits a quite brilliant volley with his first touch, 18 yards out on the angle, off both posts and past the goalkeeper. He will struggle to score a better goal than that in his career.
    • 6 Saint Johnstone clear the ball long to Sheridan who hits a volley narrowly wide from 20 yards out.
    • 2 An early scare for St Johnstone as Duberry pulls down Boyd as he looks to close down on goal; but he is saved by the offside flag. The ref would have had a decision to make there, Dubbery looked to be the last man.
    • 1 And we are underway...
    • - The two teams are on their way out of the tunnel. Rangers will tonight be wearing their white away strip.
    • - So the good news for the Saints is that 'the Doctor' Kenny Deuchar has got over the concussion he sustained against Hamilton on Saturday. Rangers are still without Madjid Bougherra and Kirk Broadfoot.
    • - Rangers: McGregor, Whittaker, Weir, Wilson, Papac, Naismith, McCulloch, Thomson, Davis, Boyd, Miller Subs: Alexander, Edu, Novo, Smith, Lafferty, Little, Fleck
    • - The team news is in...St Johnstone: Smith, MacKay, Duberry, Anderson, Grainger, Morais, Millar, Morris, Craig, Sheridan, Deuchar Subs: Main, Irvine, Sheerin, Davidson, Swankie, Reynolds, Samuel
    • - A frozen pitch nearly put pay to the fixture this afternoon, but thankfully, it has thawed out sufficiently for the game to go ahead. Will that have a bearing on the result tonight?
    • - The Ibrox men have won their two previous encounters with the Saints this season - beating them 2-1 away and 3-0 at home - with their also being a 2-1 victory in the semi-final of the league cup. However, tonight should be a tough fixture when you consider that St.Johnstone have failed to score in just one of their home fixtures this season. A victory tonight will see Derek McInnes’ team moving to within two points of sixth-placed Hearts as the split approaches.
    • - Welcome to McDiarmid Park for Glasgow Rangers' visit to St Johnstone. Rangers are having a terrific season and are only four victories away from winning the SPL and a win tonight will see them go an astonishing 13 points clear.
  • Summary

    • 79 Goal for Saint Johnstone. Murray Davidson scores for the Saints. Dubbery heads the ball in and Davidson spins off his marker to apply the finish. 4-1 to the Saints.
    • 36 3-1 to St. Johnstone and it is another own goal. The cross comes in from Morais out right and he finds Liam Craig who heads toward goal but it takes a deflection off of Lee McCulloch and past the unmoved goalkeeper.

Its funny how all the tarriers are coming on here and gloating about this result,i wonder how pissed off they would be if the Mighty Gers had the chance to win the title at the piggery again,no motivation needed and the added bonus of the ginger bigot losing his job at the same time and not forgetting a sad beggar throwing himself off the top tier into the bargain, happy days for the CHAMPIONS!!!

P.S. Congrats to the Saints and Derek McInnes, this result was well deserved, credit where its due.

  20. Im a good Gers man but the team have been dreadful for weeks.Cant understand why Edu doesnt play from the start and why he continually plays Davis wide right when he is the most effective central midfielder in Scotland. We were due a good hiding but having only lost 2 games in the league come the start of April is still a very impressive stat.Expect big team changes for Saturday.
