    Time:90'
    • St. Johnstone
    • Rangers
    • 90+3' The full-time whistle goes at McDiarmid Park, and Rangers have been pushed extremely hard as they come through to win 2-1 courtesy of goals from Kris Boyd and Sasa Papac to go top of the SPL table! Thanks for joining us!
    • 90+2' Excellent, commanding keeping from McGregor sees Rangers on their way as he comes through a crowd of bodies to claim a high ball.
    • 90+1' The home fans are urging their players forward but Rangers are defending stoutly and keeping the ball well now.
    • 90' Three minutes will be added at the end of this second half as the hosts continue to press forward.
    • 89' Morais gathers the ball at the back post but cannot muster a shot on target as Rangers are given a reprieve for some less than convincing defending.
    • 88' Ally McCoist is furious with the referee as a niggly foul by Jody Morris goes unpunished.
    • 87' Lafferty battles furiously with Miller and Novo in attack as Rangers look to exploit their wealth of forward players to defend high up the field.
    • 86' Whittaker is given a stern talking to by the referee as he protests after conceding a needless free kick.
    • 85' Rangers are forced to keep the ball deep inside their half as St Johnstone press upfield.
    • 84' GOAL!!!! Rangers get the second goal that their possession deserves, and it is Papac who gets it! The defender gets forward once more and prods a superb strike from the edge of the penalty area which beats Main!
    • 82' Rangers continue to pile forward in their droves and look the more likely to clinch a winner.
    • 81' Kenny Miller finally does come on, and it is Kris Boyd who makes way as yet another fresh-legged forward is introduced.
    • 80' The goalscorer Samuel is replaced by Kenny Deuchar and Hardie by Liam Craig in a double change for St Johnstone.
    • 79' McCulloch and Davidson clash as they contest an aerial challenge on halfway, with the Rangers playing coming off worst.
    • 78' Morais has made a decent impact since coming on for the hosts and he continues to pick the ball up in midfield and link the play nicely.
    • 77' Kenny Miller looks set to come on for Rangers as Walter Smith brings on another forward.
    • 76' Morais has a hopeful shot form range which McGregor catches comfortably without having to move along his line.
    • 75' Papac again gets forward in very positive fashion for Rangers after taking the ball out from defence but his through ball does not find Boyd.
    • 74' Nacho Novo replaces Jerome Rothen in Walter Smith's second change.
    • 72' Weir does well to shepherd the ball out of play as Hardie gets forward with purpose.
    • 71' Morais comes forward with the ball down the left for St Johnstone but loses the ball to Davis.
    • 70' Gartland receives some quick treatment on the field as he gets gingerly to his feet following the clash.
    • 69' McGregor is clattered by Gartland as a testing corner is whipped in by Grainger, and that was a very good delivery.
    • 67' Lafferty skips inside the box from the right but his lay-off to Boyd misses his strike partner as the chance goes begging.
    • 66' Naismith loses out to Millar as the St Johnstone man refuses to be deterred by his booking.
    • 65' Millar is booked for an infringement which the referee takes exception to. Davis had evaded the midfielder, who tugged him back slightly, but that was very harsh!
    • 64' Rangers build once more from deep through Lafferty as Papac gets forward to join in the attack.
    • 63' Gavin Swankie is replaced by Filipe Morais in St Johnstone's first change of the match.
    • 62' Naismith immediately looks for Boyd in the box but his cross finds the striker offside.
    • 61' Steven Naismith comes on to replace Steven Smith for Rangers as Walter Smith makes his first change.
    • 60' Davidson squanders another glorious opportunity as he dummies a low cross from Samuel which picked him out in space - what was going through his head is anyone's guess!
    • 59' Gartland concedes a corner with a good tackle on Lafferty as Walter Smith prepares to make a substitution.
    • 58' Papac makes a very robust challenge on Hardie but it was clean and he won the ball fairly.
    • 57' Lee McCulloch is booked for a cynical challenge on Samuel which prevents him from running at the Rangers defence.
    • 56' Whittaker enjoys another expansive run down the right for Rangers before he loses the ball to Gartland.
    • 54' Samuel is again the dangerman for St Johnstone as he feeds Davidson with a cross from which he really should have hit the target with a free header!
    • 53' Lafferty is then ruled offside as the St Johnstone back four all step up in unison.
    • 52' Lafferty leaves a boot in on Davidson, and a free kick is conceded. Mackay is very unhappy with the Rangers man's behaviour, but it looked unintentional.
    • 51' Papac and Smith combine well down the Rangers left before the left-back loses out to Chris Millar.
    • 50' McCulloch wins a throw in for Rangers with good battling play down the his side's right.

    • 48' Thomson whips in a fine delivery from the right which evades everyone in the box.
    • 47' Smith remains on the touchline with a pensive look on his face as his side chase shadows in the opening minutes of the second half.
    • 46' The second half is underway at McDiarmid Park as Rangers kick us off looking to complete their recovery.
    • 45+1' The half-time whistle goes at McDiarmid Park with Kris Boyd having drawn Rangers level with a clinical finish after Collin Samuel gave St Johnstone an early lead.

    • 44' Samuel wins a corner now as Grainger trots over to take it with St Johnstone back on the front foot.
    • 43' Samuel is spinning in behind the Rangers back four seemingly at will, and he skips past Weir once more before Smith intervenes.
    • 42' Jody Morris is caught out by Thomson, who lays the ball off for Lafferty, but his shot drifts wide of Main's far post.
    • 41' Smith is motionless on the Rangers bench, but he must feel very relieved because his side have lacked creativity going forward but have been clinical through Boyd.
    • 40' GOAL!!!! BOYD DRAWS RANGERS LEVEL! Papac makes another good run before Lafferty's through ball is deflected into Boyd's path, and the striker slots the ball away with a precise finish!
    • 39' Papac is linking the play very nicely for Rangers from defence, but the visitors are lacking someone to pikc the ball up from midfield.
    • 38' Another corner is won by Boyd down the left, but his appeals for a penalty are turned down after the ball struck Anderson - he knew very little about it though.
    • 37' Boyd wins a corner now as Rangers pile on the pressure at the end of this first half.
    • 36' Boyd does well to tussle with Gartland and come out best as Rangers finally pick out the striker with a decent delivery, but he is overcrowded in the box.
    • 35' On a quick aside with the ball out of play, Donald Muir and Mike McGill have been appointed as non-executive directors of Rangers. At the same time, Donald Wilson has resigned from his non-executive director role. Click here to read more on this story
    • 33' Samuel is marshalled well by Weir with the ball going out of play in Rangers' favour - good defending.
    • 32' Another good delivery from Millar almost finds Samuel at the back post, but on this occasion Smith is quickly across to clear.
    • 31' Samuel has been quiet since his goal but shows his pace once more with a chase in vain down the right wing.
    • 30' Rangers are being forced to keep the ball very deep in their half and they are finding it very difficult to find the isolated Boyd.
    • 29' Papac finds Smith down the left wing, but he is upended by Mackay as Rangers get evermore frustrated.
    • 28' The home fans get on the back of the referee as he hands McCulloch a free kick for jostling with Davidson.
    • 26' McInnes looks very content on the touchline, and who can blame him? St Johnstone keep possession calmly in their half now.
    • 25' Papac brings the ball out of defence for Rangers before releasing Boyd, who has been very quiet so far.
    • 24' Kyle Lafferty creates some space around the St Johnstone box with a delightful first touch but then shoots straight at Main.
    • 23' Some lax communication from Papac and McGregor contrives to hand St Johnstone an attacking throw in.
    • 22' Walter Smith looks pretty glum on the Rangers bench as he watches his side squander possession once more through Rothen.
    • 21' The sun continues to bath McDiarmid Park as the hosts attack once more through Grainger.
    • 20' A marauding run from Steven Whittaker is eventually ended abruptly after a cynical push from Grainger brings him down on the edge of the St Johnstone box.

    • 18' Samuel has looked superb in this first half and that was a very composed finish!
    • 17' GOAL!!!! ST JOHNSTONE TAKE THE LEAD! Millar slips the ball through to Samuel, who coolly slots the ball under McGregor for a deserved opener!
    • 15' The match reaches a slight lull as possession is persistently squandered in midfield.
    • 14' Rothen's delivery is overhit and Main collects the ball comfortably.
    • 13' Swankie concedes a free kick in a dangerous area for Rangers which Rothen will whip in.
    • 12' Rothen attempts an audacious long shot from all of 35 yards but it does not in any way catch out Alan Main.
    • 11' Danny Grainger plays the ball down the left for St Johnstone but Murray Davidson loses out to Rothen as the play is fragmented.
    • 9' Allan McGregor takes an age to clear the ball upfield as he attempts to settle his side down.
    • 8' Kevin Thomson is adjudged to have fouled Mackay and that was certainly a mistimed challenge if nothing else.
    • 7' St Johnstone keep possession patiently in their half before Steven Anderson thumps a long ball upfield to Gavin Swankie and the ball is lost.
    • 6' David Mackay lumps a ball down the right for the hosts where Chris Millar almost latches on to the ball, but for a good tackle from David Weir.
    • 5' After that superb spell of early pressure, St Johnstone are pegged back in their half as Rangers move forward through Steven Davis.
    • 4' Collin Samuel shows terrific invention down the left wing and gets to the byline before dinking a cross to the back post where Martin Hardie's header comes off the far post - what a chance for St Johnstone!
    • 3' Jerome Rothen attempts to thread a ball through to Kyle Lafferty, but Graham Gartland intervenes.
    • 2' Danny Grainger gets down the left well for the hosts but his cross is cleared away by Lee McCulloch.
    • 1' We are underway at McDiarmid Park and St Johnstone kick off in their blue shirts, with Rangers in their white change strip.

    • - St Johnstone ended a winless run of six matches with a 2-0 victory at Hamilton on October 3, and Derek McInnes's side are currently three points ahead of bottom-placed Falkirk in 10th spot.
    • - Celtic are currently top of the SPL table by one point from Rangers in second, but Walter Smith's side can move above their rivals with a win - both teams have a goal difference of eight.
    • - Striker Kris Boyd represents a big boost for Rangers after recovering quickly from a small fracture to his eye socket following a clash of heads during the Old Firm derby. He was expected to be sidelined for several weeks but has declared himself fit for the visit to McDiarmid Park. Long-term casualties Kirk Broadfoot and Maurice Edu remain on the sidelines.

  3. Brian D, as a Celtic fan I am pretty ashamed that inbred nitwits like yourself are allowed a forum.
You spout your bile and claim to be a Celtic fan
It may help if you go back to school and take S P E L L I N G lessons, that way you may sound like less of a moron than you really are.
it must have been tough being in Primary School untill you were 15, but your comments do reflect your distict lack of brains.
The good news is that your should have plent of time to read between collecting your GIRO's
Anyway good luck raking the miggies.

  4. i am sorry that my fellow scots are so stupid (not all of course)why do you spout so much bile,i like to read other peoples thoughts on games, i live in england and this is my only way to to see if my team are getting better or not?? all i read is winos spouting their piss , the monks have a lot to answer for, or as i think they are people who are afraid of others, and use this forum to hide behind, as they know they would get a slap in the real world..gers/spurs.

  5. It's not easy to read Brian D's posts, that might not be a bad thing due to the @#$% he writes. A slight lack of schooling I imagine, then again all the schooling in the world won't help if there's a void in his heid.

This should be about football folks, not sectarianism and bigotary. Everytime there's an old firm team playing we get these idiots crawling out of the woodwork and spouting their bile. Time for everybody to grow up I think and put this @#$% to bed.

    Here's a Plan.
SPL should take the initiative and boot out the Biggot Bros due to us all bein sick of their whining spiteful bile. Let them play in Engurland (although I doubt they'd have them as they have witnessed first hand what a bunch of filthy animals they are) or wherever (let's face it, who would really care?). Maybe they could play each other every week. It would save the filthy cnuts trawlin their filth about the rest of our country.
We have a Biggot Bros free league. I'd be willin to bet we'd see little difference in revenues and as a bonus we wouldn't have to put up with their incessant @#$%.
