    • 90' It's all over at the Caledonian Stadium - Rangers win 4-1.
    • 90' FULL TIME.
    • 89' Hayes goes for goal with a free-kick that McGregor scrambles away.
    • 87' McCulloch has a good goal disallowed - his shot hits the underside of the bar and crosses the line. But the assistant referee misses it. Still 4-1.
    • 86' Rangers go down the other end and win a corne themselves - as McCulloch has a shot blocked from the edge of the box.
    • 85' Hayes sends another one into the box and - after a scramble ensues - Rangers eventually dig it out of their penalty box.

    • 38' Kerkar has been a threat all game and he almost slides in McCulloch with another well-weighted ball, but Inverness are able to clear.
    • 35' GOAL! Little makes it 3-0 before half time! Kerkar picks him out with an inch-perfect through ball and Little fires it in from a tight angle. Excellent finish, woeful defending.
    • 32' Edu sees an ambitious effort from all of 30 yards rise high above the bar.
    • 30' Tade skips past a couple of challenges before delivering a good cross from the left, but McGregor spots it early and comes out to claim.
    • 28' McCulloch hasn't really been in the game so far, but he nods down a high ball for Little, but Esson is alert to the danger and comes out to gather.
    • 27' But Tansey hammers a loose ball on the edge of the box towards goal that stings the hands of McGregor. Excellent shot, Tansey looking dangerous.

    • 23' Aluko picks out Kerkar wide on the left and he whips in an early cross, but Williams clears with a diving header.
    • 21' Rangers half clear the ball into the box but it's only as far as Tansey, who drags his shot narrowly wide of the left post. Good effort by Inverness' brightest player so far.
    • 20' Golan concedes a free kick 30 yards from goal, and Inverness will look to get this into the box.
    • 17' Foran andb Tansey are doing there best to rally Inverness but they look short of ideas and Rangers look very assured at the back.

Eagles had to change or they were dead magoo; Frey,­ Henley, Leadon and Meisner could only go so far, they­ brought in Felder to add a bit of weight, and found­ themselves too heavy for country and too country for­ heavy. Leadon was always and ever a bluegrass player,­ and he had had enough so Walsh had the rep and panache­ to take them forward; they needed a bit of theatre,­ they always took themselves too seriously.

  8. Yep, I'm with you there magoo, but Eagles, (Best­ live band on the Planet), never appeared until­ '72-'73. I seen them support Neil Young in the­ Greens's Playhouse 1973.
    Longbranch Pennywhistle,­ Burrito Brothers, Poco, Orleans, Pure Prairie League,­ Gram Parsons Byrds etc all predated them.
    ELO were much­ later, (after The Move), It was a wonderful time for­ live bands.

  12. magoo, I was never that fashion conscious.... lol...­ but to be truthful, that was about the time when I was­ going to be a rock star, and was touring with a band,­ so I never got to too many games. I found out very­ quickly though, that one of the prerequisites to being­ a rock star at that time, unlike today, was that you­ had to have a wee bit of talent, and not just good­ looks and a charming personality..lol... so we flopped.­ Still practising though; the first Darby and Joan boy­ band and I'm right in there...LOL

Never been in a crowd like that in my life magoo, the­ game was a bit of a blur though, I had been in the­ Prince Charlie since about 4:30 that day, I worked in­ Queenslie at the time, I never made it to work the next­ day; in fact I never made it home 'til the Friday.­ My Maw thought I had been murdered, and I remember­ ending up with my eye in a sling after the oul man­ scudded me for worrying her to death.... ah... happy­ days!!

  19. From memory, Rangers played a European tie in the early­ 60's, yes I'm THAT old, down in England. As is­ normal for Rangers fans wrecked the place and the­ English papers headlines were that they were like an­ army of marauding huns, and it just stuck!
