    • 90+3' Game over! Disappointment for Scotland as they are held, and you have to feel for poor Chris Iwelumo. Stick with us for the rest of the day's World Cup action, including minute-by-minute commentary on England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
    • 90+1' Broadfoot sends a teasing cross in front of goal but neither Steven Fletcher nor Iwelumo can get a decisive touch!
    • 89' At the other end Shaun Maloney bends a shot over from just outside the box.
    • 88' CAREW AGAIN!!! SHOULD HAVE SCORED!! He outfoxes David Weir and bears down on goal but fires over!! He thinks it should be a corner but the referee says goal-kick!
    • 85' IVERSEN!!! What a chance!!! He receives a superb cross from Pedersen unmarked, chests down and shoots straight at Craig Gordon. Braaten's follow-up is then blocked. What a chance.
    • 83' Gordon punches Riise's corner away but Scotland don't have the legs to mount a successful counter-attack.
    • 82' Pedersen!! He tries his luck from the edge of the box but Carew gets in his way and the shot deflects wide for a corner.
    • 80' A Norwegian corner finds its way through the crowd to Waehler at the back post, but he sends his diving header wide!
    • 77' Norway: Morten Gamst Pedersen comes on for Fredrik Stromstad.
    • 75' Maloney has another crack, latching on to an Iwelumo knockdown and seeing his shot deflected behind for a corner.
    • 73' Maloney cuts inside from the left flank and has a crack right-footed... it has plenty of power but skids just wide of the far post.
    • 72' Scotland come up with some good stuff, pinning Norway back inside their own final third. But there is nobody who can pick out the final killer ball and the visitors cling on.
    • 70' The crowd still seem a little shell-shocked by that Iwelumo miss. You really have to see it. And you almost certainly will. Hundreds of times.
    • 67' Extraordinary let-off for Norway, who come come forward with a long Riise throw from the right. Scotland clear.
    • 64' AMAZING MISS!!! AMAZING MISS!!! Chris Iwelumo!! Naysmith presents Iwelumo with an open goal - as in, completely open - and he somehow manages to put the ball wide from three yards. Remarkable miss from the debutant. In truth, he looked offside, but the flag stayed down. Welcome to DVD compilation hell, Chris Iwelumo.
    • 61' Some excellent football involving Maloney, Robson, Darren Fletcher and Naysmith, whose eventual cross is headed away. Better from Scotland though.
    • 58' Robson!! He takes a snapshot from the edge of the box, but his left-foot drive is straight at Gordon.
    • 57' Two changes for Scotland - Steven Fletcher on for James Morrison and Chris Iwelumo for... James McFadden! Mystifyingly negative stuff from George Burley.
    • 56' Norway bring on ex-Bolton boy Daniel Braaten for Bjorn Helge Riise.
    • 55' Terry Butcher is giving instructions to Chris Iwelumo and Steven Fletcher. Looks like Scotland are about to make some changes and will switch to a 4-4-2.
    • 54' Corner Norway, Riise swings it in from the edge of the box and WAEHLER MEETS IT!! He heads powerfully into the side-netting as Darren Fletcher does just enough to put him off.
    • 53' A Scottish corner comes to the edge of the box to Robson, who tries a shot but it is predictably charged down as he attempts to thread it through the crowd.
    • 51' Cynical tackle by Hoiland! He chops Barry Robson as the Scotland midfielder chases a through ball, and that is a certain yellow card!
    • 50' Carew beats the offside trap and bears down on goal.. he sidesteps Caldwell and FIRES!! Straight at Gordon!!
    • 48' Scotland come forward in numbers and this looks positive. Or at least it does until Kirk Broadfoot passes the ball tamely out for a Norway throw.
    • 46' The second half is under way. No changes from either side, although you have to think Scotland will introduce a second striker before too long.
    • 45+1+ Hardly any injury time played, and that's half-time. You'd have to say Norway have just shaded it, but the game remains goalless and we have a crucial 45 minutes coming up.
    • 45' Best chance of the game for Scotland! McFadden peels away on the left and curls a cross for Morrison, who heads over from close range at the back post!
    • 44' Jon Arne Riise has a crack from a tight angle out on the left. It's optimistic and he fires it high over the bar.
    • 43' Morrison crosses from the right.. Hoiland wins an unchallenged header and Hangeland completes the defensive job by whacking the ball clear.
    • 41' Grindheim tries his luck with a long-range drive, but he gets underneath it and the ball rises high over the bar!
    • 40' Winsnes clips a ball to Stromstad on the left side of the box, and he knocks it down for CAREW!! Denied by a vital block!
    • 39' Riise lofts a free-kick into the area, headed on by Iversen and Grindheim for Carew, but he is - for once - beaten in the air.
    • 36' A good spell of possession for Norway comes to an end when Hoiland overhits a cross from the right. But this is a very even game and both sides will fancy their chances of nicking it.
    • 34' After a brief delay, Riise lines up the free-kick... and slides a cute, but overhit, pass down the line for Stromstad. He wins a corner which comes to nothing.
    • 32' Caldwell is adjudged to have fouled Iversen and Jon Arne Riise may well fancy a crack from this free-kick.
    • 29' It is a little frustrating for the Tartan Army at the moment. McFadden is getting isolated in the box and it really does need some pinpoint passing to find him. George Burley must be thinking of bringing on debutant Chris Iwelumo at some point.
    • 26' Another ball played into the Norwegian box from the left.. but it lacks precision and the visitors again clear easily.
    • 23' James Morrison beats Hangeland and crosses low from the right corner of the box.. it is behind McFadden and Waehler clears. A decent chance that for the Scots.
    • 21' Carew breezes past Caldwell and fires from the left side of the box... Gordon parries and Iversen hits the follow-up into the crowd!
    • 18' Naysmith sends in Scotland's first genuine cross from the left, but he overhits it and the ball rolls out for a Norway throw on the other side of the pitch.
    • 15' The corner is swung in towards Hangeland, whose downward header bounces a foot or so wide of the right-hand post.
    • 14' Carew surges forward down the Norway left and, although he has no support, wins a corner off Kirk Broadfoot.
    • 12' Shaun Maloney has made a good start out on the left side for Scotland. He has a key role to play - as does James Morrison on the other flank - he needs to offer width and also provide a supply line to lone striker James McFadden.
    • 9' Carew bundles his way right through the centre of the Scotland defence and it takes a last-ditch tackle to concede a corner. A worrying moment for the home team. Carew is such a handful.
    • 7' Scotland have a very strong central midfield trio in Darren Fletcher, Scott Brown and Barry Robson, and they are doing a good job of winning - and using - the ball. Maloney wins a free-kick on the Scottish left.
    • 5' The crowd have bossed the opening few minutes. Plenty of noise around Hampden, with the 'top' third of the pitch still bathed in sunshine.
    • 2' Scotland win the game's first corner, which is comfortably dealt with by Norway skipper Brede Hangeland.
    • 1' Game on! There is a tremendous atmosphere on a lovely autumn day in Glasgow. George Burley has opted for a lone striker - James McFadden - supported by James Morrison and Shaun Maloney.
