    • 90' Vallentini brings down Gillespie and the winger takes his own free kick. Blackpool man Patterson has the ball in the back of the net but is denied a debut goal for an offside. The referee brings the action to a close moments later.
    • 90' Every Northern Ireland player can be proud of their performance tonight bar Maik Taylor who has had nothing to do for the majority but San Marino with a population of only 30,000 were always going to struggle.
    • 88' Gillespie wins a free kick in a dangerous position. Healy beats the wall with his powerful shot but it ends up just over the bar.
    • 85' San Marino introduce Cibelli for his international debut in place of Manuel Marani.
    • 81' Ten men San Marino are really struggling as the home side are beginning to showboat now that they are sure of their win. Davis has a shot cleared off the line by Marani. Lafferty makes way for Warren Feeney.
    • 75' Lafferty makes a brilliant run and puts a pass across the box for Davis to flick, with some class, past Valentini with a back heel. 4-0 is nothing less than the home side deserve.
    • 70' Carlo Valentini goes into the ref's book and will miss the next fixture after a high challenge born out of frustration.
    • 68' Lafferty should have made it four but his header effort was poor and drifted well wide.
    • 65' Substitute McGiven is next into the referee's book following a lunge at the San Marino keeper. Another one of those and he will have the unenviable honour of being dismissed in his two run outs for Northern Ireland.
    • 62' Mauro Marani sees red for a foolish for an inexcusable swing of the forearm into O'Connor's face. There was really no need for that after what appeared to be a soft coming together in the middle of the park.
    • 59' Manchester City youngster Ryan McGiven comes on to replace Gareth McAuley as Nigel Worthington presumably wants to cast his eye over some of his fringe players.
    • 55' Healy draws a save from Valentini but the hapless keeper can only palm it into the path of the onrushing Kyle Lafferty who slots into an open net. He won't score an easier international goal than that again!
    • 53' Healy has a half chance from inside the area but his shot is hit comfortably at Valentini.
    • 52' McCann whips in a cross from deep on the left and three unmarked Northern Ireland players manage to pass up the opportunity to make it 3-0.
    • 46' The second half gets under way and as expected Selva is replaced by Matteo Vitaioli.
    • 45' Selva looks in pain after he collapsed of the ball. The striker looks to be in real trouble with a knee injury and is receiving medical attention as the referee blows the whistle for half time. It is all one way traffic for the home side here in Belfast and San Marino are sure to be glad they are not further behind.
    • 41' Grant McCann doubles the lead from just outside the box with a blistering shot into the right corner of the net. Healy turned provider with a clever knock back to his team-mate.
    • 39' Della Valle again gives away a free kick in a dangerous position with a cynical tackle on Rangers player Kyle Lafferty. Healy's shot is straight at the wall and Northern Ireland will be asking themselves how they have failed to increase their lead.
    • 37' Selva tries a speculative shot from around 20 yards out but that is not troubling Taylor who gathers comfortably.
    • 34' San Marino really are struggling here and things look like they could get worse as George McCartney almost doubles the home side's lead.
    • 32' Healy has another effort from inside the box but his shot goes tamely wide left.
    • 30' The frustration is over for the home fans as David Healy knocks in his 35th international goal on the half hour mark. His shot from 12 yards squirms under the keeper after some great build up play between McCartney and McCann.
    • 26' Healy finds himself inside the box with options but the striker who is perhaps lacking first team outings this term takes the wrong option and fires a poor shot straight at Valentini.
    • 24' McAuley picks up a yellow card for dissent moments later for a foul on Bonini, his manager Nigel Worthington looks less than impressed.
    • 23' McCartney wins a soft free kick on the left. Gillespie's cross is in on top of the keeper but McAuley is adjudged to have impeded the keeper.
    • 22' Gillespie goes on one of his trademark runs down the right puts in an early cross for David Healy who shots a couple of yards wide from just inside the box.
    • 18' Gillespie breaks from midfield with runners either side of him before being hack down by Della Valle. The San Marino man gets a deserved yellow card.
    • 15' Grant McCann whips in an excellent free kick but once again it is well cleared. The Ulstermen then go on to squander two corners in quick succession.
    • 13' The hosts look calm as they try to weave their way through the San Marino defence, there is no sense of panic around Windsor Park just yet.
    • 10' Della Valle is brave as he gets his body in the way of a Keith Gillespie drive. Northern Ireland win a corner but it is well cleared.
    • 4 Michael O'Connor heads George McCartney's pin point cross over the bar. What a start to his full debut that would have been.
    • 1' San Marino kick off.
