    • 18.55 Brazil have never lost a World Cup match against a team from another continent than Europe or South America.
    • 18.50 Brazil named the same team which struggled to a 2-1 win over North Korea in their opening match. Kaka, who is still not 100 percent fit after an injury-plagued season, was included in the starting lineup although coach Dunga said on the eve of the match that it was not certain whether he would play the whole game.
    • 18.45 Didier Drogba returns to the starting lineup. The Ivory Coast captain and leading scorer broke his forearm in a friendly against Japan in Switzerland just over two weeks ago and came on as a substitute in the goalless draw against Portugal wearing a protective plastic cast. Drogba replaces Gervais Kouassi, the only change in the Elephants' starting line-up.

  1. Can't believe the ref played in the favor of Brazil on that 2nd goal and then laughed about it. That sucks.

From Kiganira, on Tue 22 Jun 9:31
  2. I can't believe the Ref allowed the 2nd goal then laughed about it.PI55 take..
The Ref should get banned for life, His adverse actions totally changed the game. I think both teams played with heart and sole and really enjoyed the dog match.
Diving, faking body checks is disgraceful and the players involved should be banned and punished.. This would make other players think twice about cheating..

From Richard, on Tue 22 Jun 9:20
  3. brazil sucks, wait you will understand what i am talking about when they meet a team like Holland.

From black to d core, on Tue 22 Jun 8:12
  4. Brazil played very good soccer with great style and skills. No matter whatever anyone has to say they did well. They never believe that Ivory Coast was a worked over because initially the Ivoriens trried to come forward but were met perfect with the Brazillian skills and style which was more superior to theirs. So everybody should congratulate Brazil for playing well and winning. If you criticise the second goal what happen to first and the last were they also handball. Have taken time to scrunitize the fouls committed by the Ivoriens and the injuries inflicted on the Brazilians because I know if it was Brazil that cause Elano to be sent off assuming he was Ivoriens people would have a lot to say. Let to praise when he perform well. I have always wish Brazil even now and in the future because they believe in themselves and dont make boast. Posa for Brazil.

From Hilary, on Tue 22 Jun 7:37
  5. Football players who DIVE on a consistent basis are morally bankrupt, low life scums !!

From LeRoy, on Tue 22 Jun 3:22
  6. Brazil deserved the win.Their second goal was controversial. The ref should have
disallowed that one but the other two goals were excellent.Brazil played and contolled
    the game well.
Fluke goal?how the hell do you know.Kaka played a smart pass to Fabiano
who made it count,as they know how.Anyone who says that was a fluke is a sore loser.
Ok the second was controversial but the third finished it in style
Elano was stretchered off due to an obvious dig of Ivory Coast studs. Unintentionable
maybe but who knows.Kaka should NOT have been sent off! It was blatant cheating
by Keita.Kaka hardly touched him and Keita puts his hands over his own face and falls
for what,NOTHING.They knew they had lost, but respectful defeat would be a bit too
much to ask for wouldn't it!
Drogba scored 1 for the Ivory Coast them but to be fair, he didn't get much of the ball anyway.
All in all Brazil were the better side against a disorganised if not tense team.

As for Kaka it doesn't really matter too much if he misses the next game, which after when FIFA sees
what really happened,he won't but Brazil are through to the last 16 so not too much, uncalled, for damage.

From Slide, on Tue 22 Jun 3:18
  7. Was it really necessary for some Brazilian players to DIVE every time they were about to lose the ball ? Even the big donkey Lúcio seems to fall all over himself at the slightest touch . Brazil is a great team . They don't need to resort to diving and cheating . Fabiano's second goal was a disgrace !!

From LeRoy, on Tue 22 Jun 3:09
  8. Some people no nothing about football I for one refuse to listen to the medie and football pundit on the tv cos we cant learn from them they flay football but they dont know the rule of the game so with these people England cant reach far one the beleive in Brasil too much two if they dont like you you cant right for them kaka was a red card the law state if you raise your arm its a red card if it was the other way round they would say its a card yes i do agree that the player over act just to say brazil a fluke goal and they are saying that the guy mean it I laugh cos if that a other team it would be fluke but it brazil the dont like Argentina saying Maradona is not a coach he just have good players rubbish alot of team have good players and they cant win England for eg I see improvement in Argentina

From garry, on Tue 22 Jun 2:05
  9. I don't understand which match some of the people posting here were watching. Brazil outplayed Ivory Coast. You talk about Brazilians play acting, and we saw the sportmanship display by Keita to have Kaka sent off. I hope Ivory Coast will not qualify after this performance. Ivory Coast should've saw 2 red cards on the dirty plays which saw Elano stretched off the field and on Bastos. Ivory Coast players should be ashamed of being such bad losers to resort to this type of football style when they are behind in the match. You can give my post all the thumbs down if you want, that will not change the fact that Brazil were the deserved winners. I hope North Korea knock Ivory Coast out of the WC.

kaka deserves his red card, he did it he pushed the man. the game was spoilled by the second goal, we in ivory coast we're we love peace. so are brazilians. brazil is one of nices nations. and the people are very friendly. but this time kaka was wrong and he knows it. lets talk nicely and that it

  17. Are people seriously comparing the Henry hand ball with the Fabiano one????? Really! Please!! One is a group game with a losing team at 50minutes, the other was a QUALIFER in extra time, where the Irish were winning. Please!! The Henry hand ball cost the WC for Ireland, Ivory Coast lost their game on their own. Wake up
