90+4' FULL-TIME! Ivory Coast and Portugal drew 0-0 as the first battle of two World Cup heavyweights failed to deliver a knock-out blow in Port Elizabeth.
88' Ndri Romaric replaces Eboue.
86' Raul Meireles is replaced by Filipe Ruben Amorim, who only came into the squad when Nani withdrew.
83' Gervinho has impressed but is replaced by Kader Keita.
82' Ivory Coast win a free-kick which Tiene clips into the penalty area but Kolo Toure can't quite get in the position to guide his header where he intended.
66' The vuvuzela noise cranks up as Drogba replaces Kalou.
62' A second change for Portugal as Tiago replaces Deco.
60' Great cross from the left by Tiote but Gervinho, under pressure from Coentrao, can't direct his header on target from eight yards.
54' Portugal need a boost and Simao replaces the ineffective Danny.
53' Nice burst from Yaya Toure and he squares to Kalou but his shot from the edge of the penalty area is far too central and a comfortable save for Eduardo.
48' Tiote is totally unmarked from the corner by mistimes his jump and makes no sort of contact. A presentable chance.
47' Gervinho has been lively and his fierce drive from a tight angle is pushed away by Eduardo for a corner.
46' The second-half is underway with no changes and no Drogba.
45' Half-time! And in truth a hugely disappointing 45 minutes given the pre-match expectrations.
20' Ronaldo goes down cheaply under a challenge from Guy Demel. Both players are booked for the confrontation in the aftermath.
11' WHAT AN ATTEMPT! Ronaldo cuts back inside with a cheeky flick and unleashes a 35-yard rocket that hits the outside of the post. Boubacar Barry was completely beaten.
6' Didier Zokora booked for a foul on Ronaldo - the Real Madrid man goes down theatrically but contact was minimal. The ex-Tottenham man gives the ex-Manchester United man a piece of his mind.
1' And we are underway in what could be the biggest match of the group stage.

But anyhow I wish them a win this evening.

Aurelius You not very bright!
Portugal did play bad however you are just jealous about Mourinho, you have no clue as to what is tactics
are; Fear is what is what you feel when you face a team that is trained by Him.
There is no substitute for discipline and expertise of control of young Lads that are considered the best in
the world of football.
The players themselves are is greatest defenders, so i suggest you stop being jealous that you do not have Mourinho in your Club.

i love my baby FABIO COENTRAO

Wow, most comments here are from people who know shxt about sport and only distil hate and prejudice... everybody gets the world cup they deserve, I guess...

Portugal SUCKS jk i love portugal but they really did suck today I

worst world cup ever.....RONALDO IS KING!!

Cristiano Ronaldo is a morally bankrupt low life scum . He will be remembered as a DIVING cheat and one of the most OVERRATED players of this generation !!

world cup === c r a p no goals all wee rubbish matches

European sport and the rest of the world who do not respect Africa got it wrong this time.....

The Portogoose Rat up to his usual con ,diving and cheating- pity Ivory Coast didnt beat him and his gang!

Apart from the Germany vs Australia game the world cup has been utter p!ss so far. Don't get me wrong I got a chuckle out of England being held that was nice but the game itself was dire. Brazil & Spain can still entertain i guess.

I blame the vuvuzelas for these results. I doubt the players are able to hear each other with the drone.

it is afantastic football team first I said.In my comment alittil bit ivercost more player than portugal team.Be remember you reader :it is not Afircian fealing.moreorless both team has tension.

So far only 1.53 goals per game, is this a all-time low?

Is it just me or is everyone else bored to hell watching these overhyped matches?- i think I'll go and watch the grass grow- it's more entertaining- and to top it all off the African workers are being ripped off- why do we ttreat these so called superstars like gods- it's all @#$%

The portuguese are a bunch of petulant, cheating, diving t*&ts!! And Ronaldo is the worst of them. I hope they go out in the group stages. I'm supporting anyone but Portugal (ABP).
