    • 90' Three minutes of added time to be played...
    • 89' It looks like Netherlands will be playing the winner of Brazil or Chile in the quarter-finals.... they meet in tonight's game. Brazil v Chile
    • 88' It's been a decent performance by the Dutch, but not a great one... plenty more to come from them...
    • 87' Slovakia make a double change... Hamsik and Pakarik off, Separa Jakubko on...
    • 86' The Dutch are pushing for a third now... Elia teases his man but his final effort on goal is poor...
    • 85' Skrtel is booked for arguing in the aftermath of the goal... clearly he didn't feel it should have been a free-kick in the first place...
    • 84' GOAL! THAT'S IT! THE DUTCH LEAD 2-0! A quickly-taken free-kick finds Kuyt, who beats the onrushing Mucha to the ball... he keeps his head before squaring to Sneijder who has the simple task of sidefooting over the line!
    • 83' Skrtel is penalised by the ref for a high foot on Huntelaar...
    • 81' Still just a goal in it and as long as it stays like that, Slovakia still have a chance...
    • 80' Van Persie takes a age to walk off... and he seems to have a little argument with his coach on the way...
    • 79' Here comes the Milan man, at the expense of Van Persie.
    • 78' Huntelaar looks like he's about to enter the fray....
    • 77' Weiss feeds Kucka who in turn plays in Vittek... he muscles his way through but his shot flies over the bar!
    • 76' Just under 15 minutes left and time is running out for Slovakia to snatch a late equaliser...

    • 73' Oooh! Fantastic strike by Kuyt from 25 yards! Mucha palms the ball around the corner for a corner!
    • 72' Yellow card for Kopunek... his first action of the day, for a foul on fellow substitute Elia.
    • 71' And Slovakia make a change too... off goes Jendrisek and on come Kopunek...
    • 71' That's just about it for Robben.... he's withdrawn as Elia comes on...
    • 70' Ooh! Great chance for Kuyt! He gets his head to Sneijder's free-kick into the box.... but he can only head over the bar! Poor effort by the Liverpool man...
    • 69' Skrtel goes into a challenge with Van Persie... Match image
    • 68' Two chances in the space of a minute prove that this one's not over yet... Slovakia are in the ascendency...
    • 67' And another! This time it's Vittek who finds himself in on goal! But again Stekelenburg pulls off a great save to keep the Dutch ahead!
    • 67' Oooh! What a chance for Slovakia to draw level! Stoch fires on target but Stekelenburg pulls off a wonderful save to deny him!
    • 67' Another interesting fact from Infostrada live: "Robben's goal is the 7th from a Bayern Munich player at this world cup. Atlético Madrid, Ajax and Real Madrid are next with 5."
    • 66' Sneijder looks like he may have a problem here... he goes over his ankle in a challenge with Kucka and he limps away from it...
    • 65' But here come the Dutch again... with Robben.... he feeds Sneijder who lets fly! Great block by Pekarik!
    • 64' Still just Arjen Robben's first-half strike separating the two sides.
    • 63' Kucka chances his arm from distance! Not a bad strike, but Stekelenburg is not brought into action...
    • 61' Zrebravnik looks to get in between two Dutch players... he falls to the ground, but the referee isn't convinced it was a free-kick...
    • 60' He looks like a decent player, Mucha... Everton fans will be pleased with what they've seen of him so far this tournament.
    • 59' Van Persie hits it! Mucha stands his ground and punches clear, under pressure from Kuyt...
    • 58' Robben again causing problems for Slovakia... and Zabravnik is forced into bringing the flying winger down...
    • 57' In the end, he doesn't need the stretcher... he hobbles off for more attention and for the time being, Slovakia are down to 10 men.
    • 56' It's Zebavnik's shin that is the problem... he tries to get up, but hits the deck again and the stretcher-bearers come on to help him.
    • 55' Hamsik puts the ball out of play as Zebavnik crumples on the ground under a challenge by Van Persie... replays show the tackle to have been a little over the top...
    • 54' Netherlands have suffered just one defeat in their last 39 matches wearing orange, as they are today. At Euro 2008, they were beaten 3-1 after extra time by Russia.
    • 53' Van Persie rues another missed chance... Match image
    • 52' The Dutch are looking ominous again... Slovakia hanging in there by a thread....
    • 51' Ooh! Another chance for the Dutch! Robben again involved as he cuts in from the other side this time... he squares for van Bommel who slides in and gets it on target! Mucha saves with his face! Great stuff all round!
    • 50' Oooh! Robben nearly gives the Dutch a two-goal lead! A great touch from Van Persie nearly sees him through on goal... the ball comes out to Robben, who cuts inside again and lets fly! Mucha tips the ball inches wide of the post!
    • 50' Here come the Dutch again wth Kuyt leading the break on the left hand side... it comes to nothing.
    • 49' Weiss looks to slip the ball through to the overlapping Hamsik... cut out by an orange shirt but that's better from Slovakia!
    • 48' Jendrisek is pulled up for a foul on Heitinga and the Dutch can build from the back once again...
    • 47' Vittek looks to find a bit of space but he fluffs his lines and Stekelenburg claims.
    • 46' Here we go again! Back underway in Durban! No changes to tell you about at the break....
    • 45'+1 There goes the half-time whistle... and Netherlands go in at the break a goal to the good, thanks to Arjen Robben's fantastic strike.
    • 45' Hamsik does well to create a little bit of space out on the Slovakia right... but his eventual cross is blocked...
    • 44' Van Bommel gets to the by-line before cutting back to Van Persie! But the striker fires wide at the near post!
    • 43' Sneijder looks up and sees the run of Van Persie... but his ball is slightly overhit and the Arsenal man can't get there...
    • 42' No, the Dutch deal with the corner without any problems at all and soon regain possession...
    • 41' Slovakia go straight down to the other end and win their first corner of the game! A chance here perhaps, just before half-time....
    • 40' Van Persie strides forward once again... he fires on goal, but doesn't really catch it right and Mucha is able to make a comfortable save!
    • 39' Vittek has scored three of Slovakia’s four goals at the 2010 World Cup. He has now scored 22 goals for Slovakia, equalling the nations record holder Szilard Nemeth.
    • 38' It opens up just a touch for Jendrisek for a moment... but he stalls and Mathijsen is able to make the challenge.
    • 37' Zabavnik opts to play back to his keeper... but surely Slovakia need to be going in the opposite direction...
    • 36' Van Persie fights for the ball with Jendrisek. Match image
    • 35' And then the referee's assistant calls for a new flag... not sure what was wrong with the old one... can't have been too much wear and tear from 35 minutes of play...
    • 34' Bit of confusion here as two balls come onto the pitch...
    • 33' Infostrada live: Netherlands are wearing shirts 1 to 11 in this match, the first time a team other than Brazil has done this at the world cup since 1994 (SUI v Colombia).
    • 32' The initial ball in is cleared... only as far as Jendrisek... who fires well, well wide... in fact, it goes out for a throw!
    • 31' Robben is booked for handball... that's a little harsh on the Dutchman... he couldn't really have got his hand out of the way... another free-kick opportunity for Slovakia.
    • 30' Stoch sends it in... dangerous... De Jong flicks a back heel clear!
    • 29' Van Bommel gives away a foul on Vittek and here's a chance to get a decent ball into the box...
    • 27' It's difficult to see a way back into the game for Slovakia at the moment... their best bet is a long ball up to Vittek or a set piece but neither option seems to be happening.
    • 26' The Dutch win a corner which Sneijder sends over... Mucha gets two big fists to it and punches clear to safety.
    • 25' InfostradaLive: "Only Chile have selected a younger starting XI at this world cup. than Slovakia today. SVK average age v NED is 24 years 349 days old."
    • 24' The Dutch won their last seven World Cup matches after taking the lead. They are unbeaten in their last 14 WC matches after scoring first, since losing 3-2 to Scotland in 1978.
    • 23' At the other end a long ball is pumped into the box looking for the head of Vittek, but he can't get there and the move breaks down.
    • 22' Kuyt chases down a long pass forward, but Mucha is quick off his line to clear to safety.
    • 21' Slovakia look to regain their composure with a passage of passing play... but they lose it soon enough and the Dutch pour forward again...
    • 20' Slovakia have a mountain to climb now... have they got what it takes to come from behind against the Dutch?
    • 19' That really was class by Robben.... scary to think the Dutch have gone unbeaten pretty much withouth him....
    • 18' GOAL! ROBBEN PUT NETHERLANDS IN FRONT! Fantastic goal by the Bayern Munich man! He breaks forward to latch into Sneijder's ball upfield before cutting inside two defenders and firing low past Mucha into the back of the net!
    • 16' Vittek flicks on Mucha's goal kick, but he's Slovakia's most advanced player and the ball falls to an orange shirt.
    • 15' Netherlands are bossing the game so far... they look comfortable on the ball, although that's a poor pass by Heitinga...
    • 14' Fancy dress at stadiums has been a theme of this World Cup... Not sure who these three have come as
    • 13' Slovakia coach Vladmir Weiss is in that lucky pinstripe suit again today.... Match image
    • 12' Weiss looks for Vittek, but Mathijsen is there to hack clear for the Dutch...
    • 11' Great turn by Van Persie... he feeds Sneijder who tees himself up for a shot! Hit low and hard but straight at Mucha....
    • 10' The Dutch have won their last 11 competitive matches, all eight qualifying matches and three matches at the 2010 World Cup. The only nation to win the World Cup with a perfect qualifying campaign was Brazil in 1970. The Seleçao recorded 12 straight wins, six in qualifying and six at the World Cup in Mexico.
    • 9' Robben swings over the corner... but the Dutch can't make anything of it this time... good start from Bert van Marwijk's side nevertheless.
    • 8' Kuyt floats a cross into the box... Van Persie's there! But his header's not the best ever and it goes wide! Must have taken a deflection on the way through... corner to Netherlands!
    • 7' Dutch fans are here en masse once again today and vast swathes of the stadium appear to be orange. Understated Netherlands fans
    • 6' Hamsik now fancies his chances from distance... but he doesn't get a decent connection on it and the ball bounces wide.
    • 5' Sneijder is teed up for a shot from the edge of the box by Kuyt, but his effort sails well over the bar and Slovak keeper Mucha isn't troubled.
    • 4' Van Persie looks to get his head onto a cross, but he can't get there this time...
    • 3' Netherlands have won their last seven World Cup matches after taking the lead. They are unbeaten in their last 14 WC matches after scoring first, since losing 3-2 to Scotland in 1978.
    • 2' Oooh! Jendrisek fires just over the bar from outside the area as Slovakia start the game on the front foot.
    • 2' Netherlands in their traditional Orange shirts and black shorts, while Slovakia are in all white.
    • 1' Here we go! Slovakia get things underway!
    • 14:58 The teams' respective anthems blast out - both respected impeccably - and we're ready to go...
    • 14:55 Here come the teams into bright sunshine in Durban... the ref grabs the Jabulani on his way out and we're just five minutes away from kick-off!
    • 14:50 Slovakia are making their debut at the World Cup. Four years ago Ghana and Ukraine survived the Group Stage as debutants, with Ukraine eventually reaching the quarterfinal where they lost against Italy.
    • 14:45 Netherlands have played three and won three at this World Cup. The last country to win all three group matches and go on to win the tournament was Brazil in 2002.
    • 14:40 The Netherlands and Slovakia have never met before. However, the Oranje did face Czechoslovakia at the 1938 World Cup when the Dutch were knocked out in the first round (3-0 defeat after extra time).
    • 14:35 For the Dutch, Van der Wiel, Robin van Persie, Nigel de Jong, Dirk Kuyt and Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be suspended if booked. Van der Vaart is also on a booking.
    • 14:30 Slovakia coach Vladimir Weiss makes just one change to the team which beat holders Italy 3-2 last week, bringing his namesake son into midfield in the absence of the suspended Zdeno Strba. Jan Durica, Stanislav Sestak, Vladimir Weiss, Robert Vittek, Peter Pekarík and Jan Mucha will be suspended if booked.
    • 14:25 So, Netherlands winger Arjen Robben makes his first start of the World Cup, replacing the injured Rafael van der Vaart. Robben, who made his first appearance at the tournament on Thursday when he came on as a substitute against Cameroon, will start on the right flank with Dirk Kuyt set to play on the left. Gregory van der Wiel returns to the starting lineup at right-back after being replaced by Khalid Boulahrouz for the match against Cameroon to avoid the risk of a second yellow card.
    • 14:20 And today's referee is Alberto Undiano (Spain).
    • 14:20 Teams: Netherlands: 1-Maarten Stekelenburg; 2-Gregory van der Wiel, 3-John Heitinga, 4-Joris Mathijsen, 5-Giovanni van Bronckhorst; 7-Dirk Kuyt, 6-Mark van Bommel, 10-Wesley Sneijder, 8-Nigel de Jong, 11-Arjen Robben; 9-Robin van Persie /// Slovakia: 1-Jan Mucha; 2-Peter Pekarik, 3-Martin Skrtel, 16-Jan Durica, 5-Radoslav Zabavnik, 7-Vladimir Weiss, 15-Miroslav Stoch, 17-Marek Hamsik, 11-Robert Vittek, 19-Juraj Kucka, 18-Erik Jendrisek

The Dutch have not been tested by top class opposition in this World Cup
You may be correct in saying this I haven't given it any thought
It is the 'Luck of the Draw'
When England played top class opposition for the first time they were well beaten

The Dutch have not been tested by a strong team yet, which might be Brazil, if the Dutch end up playing Brazil, i think it would be a close game, Brazil has got a strong defence, not the flamoyant Brazilian side I use to see back in the Seventy or Eighty, Kaka is back and I think Brazil should win this game .
