- 120+1 Howard hammers it upfield and Gomez is almost in but Jonathan Mensah hacks it away! Bocanegra has it and he crosses, Dempsey heads it but well wide. THREE minutes of added time!
120' Gomez has a pop from range, deflected wide off Pantsil. Howard is up for the corner but Kingson punches! Howard is still up there, knocked in but punched away by Kingson AND DEMERIT WITH THE LOB BUT OVER!- 119' Donovan, oddly, with a misplaced pass. Cherundolo wins a throw on the right though. Lofted far post, knocked into the box AND DEMPSEY WITH THE VOLLEY but blocked!

- 53' Ghana break and Gyan could be in but he shoots far too early and sends it well wide from very far out. Dempsey gets down the other end and tries a cross that's beyond Bradley. Bornstein on the left pings a low ball in but no-one gambles and Kingson claims.

- 45+1 Dempsey finds Bradley, who touches it wide to the pacy Cherundolo. He digs out a hanging far-post cross but too far for Dempsey attacking the back stick.
- 45' Edu with a chance to switch the play but he plays a rotten, aimless straight ball into the arms of Kingson. Dempsey has it though, finding Findley who runs straight into Mensah. Goal kick.
- 44' Donovan to take this from the right, an outswinger... good ball but Mensah gets a head on it before the flying DeMerit can connect.
- 43' Good running from Altidore to chase it down the right, Sarpei hoofing it away for a throw. Cherundolo and Donovan interchange passes and win a corner off Sarpei.
- 42' Ghana counter as Boateng races down the left, he cuts it back for Asamoah but instead of putting it low in for the unmarked Gyan he blasts well over from the angle.
- 41' Altidore with some strong running to shrug off two challenges but he holds on to it for too long and gives the ball away with Bornstein screaming for it in space on the left.

- 38' Asamoah is down after being caught by Bocanegra, who slid in desperately as he pulled the trigger.
- 37' Flick-on by Gyan and DeMerit misses his clearance and Asamoah is in, he's one-on-one but a super stop by Howard with the boot! He stuck that out just in time. Very similar to the one down the other end.
- 36' DeMerit misses a header but saved by Cherundolo coming across from right back. Ayew fouls Donovan. That was a huge chance for Findley earlier.
- 35' Poor clearance from Mensah and Dempsey is on the ball and it opens up so he plays a super ball to Findley, Findley is in and he takes a touch but puts a low shot straight at the legs of Kingson who blocks well! Should have scored, but he never looked like doing so.
- 34' Dempsey tries an audacious backheel that does not come off, too short for Altidore. Pantsil now with a cross but Ghana's super-defensive outlook means not one man is in the box.
- 33' Edu does well to beat one man and draw a foul from another. A more physical, biting presence in the middle for the US. Annan fields the free-kick well though.
- 32' Bradley turns and lofts a good pass for Donovan but he seems to take his eye off it - the pass was on to play it in for Findley. Uncharacteristic error from Landon - the USA a bit nervous maybe?
- 31' USA SUB: Hmmm. Ricardo Clark pays for that error and Maurice Edu is on. Bob Bradley immediately rushes to his charge and consoles him, explaining why he had to make that change with an arm round his shoulder.

- 28' The US are already looking to make a change as the tracksuits come off on the subs bench. Kingson almost spills a routine ball from Bradley but holds on at the second attempt.
- 27' Gyan plays a lovely through ball from halfway that sets Boateng off but the US have bodies back, the ball spins up into the air and drops kindly for Inkoom, who is in on the right and will surely find Boateng but blasts it aimlessly wide and high of the far post!

- 26' Bradley heads the corner up in the air at the near post but Jonathan Mensah can't meet the loose ball ahead of Howard.
- 25' Nice play by Ghana as Inkoom finds Gyan on the right. Inkoom gets it back and puts in a testing cross but Bradley tracking back heads over for a corner. Too much space is being afforded to the Ghanaians.
- 24' Altidore - generally used as a target man by the US - is struggling to win anything in the air, as Mensah beats him to yet another header.
- 23' Dempsey finds Bradley on the left after Jonathan Mensah stopped running, Bradley could be in here but his low cross is intercepted by Kingson at the near post.
- 22' Boateng called for a foul on Cherundolo after what seemed a good tackle. Donovan swings it in but headed away by Kwadwe Asamoah.
- 21' Oooh, late from Inkoom on Dempsey. That was deliberate, no card though. The US take it short and try to build an attack but the direct ball is gobbled up by the Ghana defence. Big lads, these.

- 17' Mensah with a risky header back after a long ball bounced oddly and almost set Findley in. Kingson claims though. Cherundolo gives it away to Ayew and then hacks at him to give away a free-kick on the left and earn him a booking - and a suspension. Nasty tackle, a rake down the calf.

- 15' Ghana come again as Boateng threads it into Gyan. He can't get the shot away but Ghana retain possession. Donvan gets hold of the ball though, he races forward and drills it in for Findley but touched away for a corner. The corner is taken short, and it is wasted. Annan slides hard into Donovan but gets the ball and the USA man bounces straight up.
- 14' Asamoah with a clever ball down the line to Inkoom, Bornstein nowhere near him as he drills it low looking for Gyan but Bocanegra is able to clear.
- 13' Dempsey puts the ball in for Findley but Mensah nods it clear. The ball drops to Altidore on the edge of the D but long-range shooting is not his 'thing' and he scuffs it wide.
- 12' Ayew finds acres of space on the left again and his cut-back lands at the feet of Asamoah but he blasts it over, Bradly sliding in to put him off.
- 11' Foul from Ayew as he tries to win it off Cherundolo. Ghana are in control right now and the US are struggling to get their foot on the ball.
- 10' Lovely one-touch play from Ghana as Gyan knocks it wide to Ayew in lots of space, but a poor touch lets it drift away for a throw.

Clark gave the ball away on half-way, Boateng picked it up, surged forward and with no-one closing it down drilled a low shot inside the left-hand post. Howard possibly should have made that, he was close enough to it.
- 5' Dempsey gets a sight of goal and he pumps a rising drive on target, with his left foot, but straight at Kingson who holds the shot at the second attempt.

- 80' Bocanegra plays it long, Ghana are all over the place and he's in alongside Mensah and is that a pull? Altidore slips as he shoots and it goes just wide! Not a foul to be fair, good defending.
- 76' Great one-touch play by the US as Dempsey and Altidore combine to put Bradley in, he's just onside and he's in but fires straight at the keeper!
- 62' Donovan to take... He's taking his time, on his knees for some reason. He seems nervous... but cool as you like! 1-1, he clipped it on off the right-hand post!
- 59' The US are swarming forward and Donovan on the right cuts in and out and spins a super cross that drops for Altidore, he touches it for Feilhaber who tries a shot but blocked and he races to the rebound but Mensah gets there first!
- 58' Asamoah with a great ball wide to Ayew who is in acres of space and plays it far post with Gyan free but in flies DeMerit with the block, up in the air and held by Howard!
- 55' Great ball from Feilhaber to release Dempsey on the right and what a tackle from John Mensah! Inch-perfect. Corner.
- 54' Bradley through to Donovan, he races away and slides a good ball for Feilhaber but Pantsil slides in with a tackle and it's a throw. Taken quickly and DONOVAN WITH THE CROSS but beyond Altidore and Dempsey and wide for a goal kick! This is more like it from the US, Donovan has a free-role and Dempsey making more runs into the box.
- 47' The US swarm forward, Donovan on the right slips it inside to Altidore, he touches it across Jonathan Mensah AND FEILHABER IS IN BUT THE ANGLE IS TIGHT AND HE STILL FLICKS THE SHOT AWAY BUT GREAT SAVE KINGSON!
- 37' Flick-on by Gyan and DeMerit misses his clearance and Asamoah is in, he's one-on-one but a super stop by Howard with the boot! He stuck that out just in time. Very similar to the one down the other end.
- 36' DeMerit misses a header but saved by Cherundolo coming across from right back. Ayew fouls Donovan. That was a huge chance for Findley earlier.
- 35' Poor clearance from Mensah and Dempsey is on the ball and it opens up so he plays a super ball to Findley, Findley is in and he takes a touch but puts a low shot straight at the legs of Kingson who blocks well! Should have scored, but he never looked like doing so.
- 27' Gyan plays a lovely through ball from halfway that sets Boateng off but the US have bodies back, the ball spins up into the air and drops kindly for Inkoom, who is in on the right and will surely find Boateng but blasts it aimlessly wide and high of the far post!
- 18' Gyan to take this and he curls it on target but Howard flies across to punch it clear! Out for a throw.
- 5' GOAL GHANA! Kevin-Prince Boateng! Super goal from the Portsmouth midfielder! Clark gave the ball away on half-way, Boateng picked it up, surged forward and with no-one closing it down drilled a low shot inside the left-hand post. Howard possibly should have made that, he was close enough to it.
