So that concludes the second free practice of the Bahrain Grand Prix, with Nico Rosberg taking first place after a 1:33.240. Alonso takes second, ahead of early-leader Trulli, followed by Vettel, Webber, Button, Sutil, Glock, Barrichello, and Nakajima, with Hamilton in 11th.
- Fisichella moves to 11th with a last-gasp gain, with Sutil into seventh and Hamilton into 10th briefly, before being displaced by Nakajima.
- Alonso moves second fastest, two-tenths shy of Rosberg, who takes first place.
- A small gain for Massa, who runs wide on the final turn.
- Hamilton and Sutil are both on fast laps with under a minute remaining.
- Raikkonen's F60 looks well balanced but the Finn can only move into 18th.
- Kovalainen gains a position, moving ahead of Heidfeld.
- Raikkonen is back on the track on the soft tyres, while Barrichello moves back into the top ten.
- Kubica down in 19th is on the soft tyres now, with Rosberg leading with his 1:33.339.
- Button makes a gain on his most recent lap, moving fourth fastest with a 1:33.690.
- Alonso pits after his soft-tyre run, along with Rosberg.
- Ferrari have Massa and Raikkonen languishing down in 16th and 18th respectively, while few gains are being achieved on worn tyres around the circuit.
- Fisichella moves into 10th place, with Alonso's gain all of 2.5 seconds.
- Alonso proves that it was the tyres holding him back as, after switching to the softs, he records a competitive time to move into fourth.
- Hamilton moves into eighth, pushing down Brawn duo Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello.
- Nico Rosberg snatches first place from Trulli, the Williams driver setting a 1:33.339.
- Fernando Alonso is still the slowest on the track, with the Renault team blaming the tyres.
- Piquet is up to 12th with a decent gain in his Renault; Trulli remains top of the pile with his 1:33.6.
- Hamilton sets a good first-sector time on his next lap, and could be on for a lap-time to finally lift him above 10th spot.
- Lewis Hamilton is now on the super-softs, and has a little lock-up on turn 10.
- A gain for Bourdais, who moves up to ninth, while Raikkonen finally shows some promise, moving up three places to 14th.
- Massa records a promising lap, moving up five places to 10th with a 1:34.6
- Sutil picks up five places and moves into fourth, with Massa back out with soft tyres.
- Talking of Piquet, the Brazilian spins wildly out of control in his Piquet, adding to his frustration down in 19th place.
- Sebastian Vettel takes jumps seven places up into second in his Red Bull, while Piquet is racking up the laps, but not improving.
- Buemi in his Toro Rosso picks up the pace and moves into eighth, with Rosberg also on a good lap.
- The Brawn crew are working hard on Barrichello's BGP 001, as Vettel looks to be on a promising lap.
- It is 36 degrees in Bahrain, as Mark Webber has dry ice sprayed on his suit, with the Australian sweating profusely in the pits.
- Trulli looks to be on another hot lap as he comes through the final turn.
- Hamilton improves on his own time, but can't lift himself higher than ninth with a 1:34.9.
- McLaren and Ferrari are the notable teams to have not completed a run on the option tyre, while most others have already done so.
- Trulli's 1:33.6 still leads the second free practice in Bahrain, as Jenson Button goes fourth on the super-softs.
- Hamilton moves up three places into ninth place after 1:35.1 lap, with Trulli holding top spot.
- Nakajima has a new set of soft tyres on his Williams, which helps explains the 1.8 second gain.
- Nakajima records a very pacey first-sector, in taking third place with his latest lap, which pushes Barrichello and Webber down a place.
- Trulli gets some turn in oversteer through turn 9, but prevents his Toyota spinning at turn 10. Kovalainen picks up four spots, moving to ninth.
- Vettel consolidates sixth spot with a 1:32.8 in his Red Bull, with Ferrari still yet to make a soft-tyre run.
- Fernando Alonso is back out, looking to arrest his slump into 20th place, as Piquet moves up to 19th.
- A big slide from Raikkonen prevents him from building on his 17th position, as Glock improves his time but can't quite overhaul Trulli.
- Buemi moves up into 14th with a 1:35.620, while Bourdais records a 1:35.160 to take eighth.
- Jarno Trulli pips his team-mate Timo Glock for the fastest time with a 1:33.699.
- Glock still holds top spot for Toyota, with Trulli followed by Barrichello. Renault have completed just one run so far, with Alonso and Piquet back in 19th and 20th place respectively.
- Rubens Barrichello goes third for Brawn, with Buemi out in 18th after his latest lap.
- Raikkonen is out for a second run, currently lying in an innocuous 19th spot. Button gains to move into fifth.
- Robert Kubica is on the super-softs, and seems to be struggling to find the right temperature in them at the moment.
- Sutil goes fourth now, losing ground at the end of his lap after starting so well. Massa's first timed lap gives him eighth spot, but he is not looking particularly threatening yet.
- Sutil looks to be on a flyer, with a lightning start to his lap.
- Button moves into fourth with a sharp lap in his Brawn, but Glock still looks dominant in his Toyota.
- Webber records a good time to go third, pushing Fisichella, Hamilton and Rosberg down.
- And Glock goes fastest with a 1:33.787, and his Toyota team-mate Trulli is right behind him in second.
- Glock and Trulli are both out on soft tyres now, looking to set a new standard.
- Massa is yet to set a time, and is now back out in his Ferrari. Rosberg is now up to third with another gain.
- Piquet has a broken front wing and his ordered to come into the pits by his Renault team. Most drivers have pitted now, with just Fisichella, Barichello and Rosberg on the track.
- Fisichella's 1:35.343 is the fastest so far, with Hamilton in second now, putting earlier mistakes behind him to establish himself in second free practice.
- Fisichella is now fastest and remains on the hard tyre.
- Barrichello vaults into seconds, with Button in first as Brawn have a one-two.
- After a couple of slow laps, Hamilton records his fastest time, as he did this morning. Meanwhile, Button pits.
- Kovalainen has moved third fastest, with Vettel improving again to go into fourth place.
- Hamilton runs wide exiting turn 14 as Button improves again, but still off his best from this morning.
- Heidfeld has moved into second with a composed lap, and it looks like he's on the soft tyre. Button is on for another fast lap.
- Button now moves fastest, from Kubica and Trulli, but the Brit is on the hard tyre.
- Kubica goes quickest with a 1:36.5 in his BMW, which looked so good in first free practice.
- Kubica is on the softer option tyre, as Hamilton enters the fray, joined by Raikkonen.
- Sutil runs off the track at turn 10, while Piquet pits and Hamilton comes out on the track.
- Trulli sets the initial pace from Vettel and Glock.
- Massa pits as Button, Kovalainen and Heidfeld head out.
- Trulli records a 1:37.6, roughly 2.5 seconds off his pace from the first practice.

Vettel is the big deal really. If Newey keep up the good work by providing the young fella a good car i think he'll be world champion this year.
