The complete results are on the left-hand side. All in all it could have been worse for Hamilton - he still leads the championship with 62 points, five more than Raikkonen. Massa, who would have led had he coasted home, is third with 54.
0'
Hamilton fifth behind Raikkonen and former team-mate Alonso.

KOVALAINEN COMES HOME TO WIN HIS MAIDEN GRAND PRIX!!! The Finn leads home Glock, who claims the first podium of his career.
2' At least Ferrari will have a podium spot with Raikkonen now third, but McLaren should win now as Kovalainen assumes the lead. Glock second and Hamilton, whose puncture was caused by debris, fifth. Not as bad as it could have been for Lewis...
3' Smoke just started pouring out of the back of the car and it came to a standstill on the track as he fought in vain to get it started again. His third retirement of the season, Ferrari's reliability shown up again here.
3'
MASSA'S FERRARI PACKS UP WITH THREE LAPS TO GO!!!
4' Mark Webber is in fact 10th now...
5' Glock is in Raikkonen's sights with only five laps remaining. Adrian Sutil's Force India dies a death and he becomes the second man to retire.
7' Piquet, Trulli, Kubica and Heidfeld make up places seven to 10.
8' Lewis three seconds behind Alonso, still sixth, and not gaining... and McLaren are worried that he may not last the race. Worrying times.
9' What a turnaround for Ferrari though with Massa coasting home nine seconds ahead of Kovalainen. A very different picture with Raikkonen and Glock though...
11' The fastest lap of the race now set by Kimi. Strange performance from the flying Finn.
12' Glock runs wide and picks up dirt, which will not help his battle ahead of the suddenly rampaging Raikkonen... the Toyota man desperate for a podium.
13' Still only the one retirement. Kovalainen taking chunks out of Massa's lead, but he can afford to take it easy - and will lead the drivers' standings if things stay as they are.
15'
Raikkonen has battled up to fourth and is currently tearing up the track after taking a place from Alonso. He is the quickest man out there...
17' Piquet fights off Trulli - good defensive work - as Hamilton works his way up to sixth behind Alonso.
18' Glock eight seconds behind Kova. His team orders indicate that he is still racing Hamilton...
19' Giancarlo Fisichella jumps over the kerb and shunts Bourdais. Both drivers continue on.
21' Raikkonen loses the car momentarily as his woes continue.
22' Kovalainen also pits and is still thought to be about 20 secs behind the race leader. Hamilton ninth.
23' Glock comes in for his second stop and is now fifth ahead of Piquet and Trulli.
25' Of course Lewis's woe is another former GP2 champion's gain: Glock, the reigning champ in that class, now third. A podium finish perhaps?
26' Hamilton on the super softs so he will have to play it carefully or they won't last to the end. Massa pits and comes out in second.
27' Massa now 23 seconds ahead of Kovalainen.
28' Hamilton fuelled to the end of the race now and will look to carve his way through the field, especially as they pit.
29' It looks like the softs have blistered on the hot track, but it may not be that. He changes his rubber... and Hamilton is now back in 11th just ahead of Coulthard!!!
30'
HAMILTON HAS A PUNCTURE!! He ran wide with the problem and picked up a lot of dirt but is ragging it round back to the pits... a few corners to go...
31' The gap now five seconds between the front two...
32' Honda are investigating what happened with the fire.
34' Hamilton, four seconds behind Massa, putting a second-and-a-half between himself and Kovalainen on every lap.
36'
And now Rubens Barrichello's Honda catches fire - he too leaves with the flames licking the fuel cap! The heat clearly affecting the cars...
37' Now Kazuki Nakajima's Williams is burning but he too continues - no foam to supress it, it goes out on its own with the wind.
38'
Bourdais's car on fire in the pits!!! The team put it out and he shot out to rejoin the race... the flames were at the back.
39' Kubica, well-supported here by travelling Poles, down in ninth after the pitstop. Coulthard is 13th, not what he wanted.
41' Coulthard finally comes in.
42'
Sebastian Vettel has retired from the race after a disastrous pitstop: "The engine was too hot and burned some parts. Before that I lost the rear of the car... it has not been a good weekend." The Toro Rosso man the only driver to drop out so far.
44' It is some surprise to see Massa taking the title challenge to Hamilton rather than Raikkonen, who looked strong earlier in the season.
45' Coulthard is up in fifth but has not pitted as yet.
46' Piquet emerges out of the pits just behind Raikkonen, sandwiching the Ferrari between the Renaults.
48' Alonso emerges from the pits a couple of yards ahead of Raikkonen!! That was very close. Kimi didn't need another pitlane incident after Hamilton shunted him a few races back.
49' After much rearranging due to stops, Massa is in front. Raikkonen is in fact third ahead of Hamilton before his stop.
50' Hamilton has taken more fuel on board than Massa. Interesting, very interesting... we'll see how that develops with regards to the Englishman keeping close to the Ferrari.
52' Hamilton comes in, meaning he must have been fuelled to about the same level as his rival... he comes out behind the Brazilian again with Raikkonen and Alonso, both yet to pit, out in front.
53' Massa coming into the pits... he emerges in fourth place, Kubica also going in...
54' Sebastien Bourdais has made up three of the five places he was deprived of following the incident with Nick Heidfeld in qualifying.
55' No change in the top 10 as the track heats up. Jenson Button in 13th lost one place at the start and is struggling to make it up.
57' The field spreading out but the midfield is quite close together. There will be tears at some point as drivers dive past one another...
58' Massa has a poor record at this circuit but has put that behind him so far today. He is a bit of an enigma - brilliant or erratic? Maybe the former...
59' Kovalainen five seconds behind Hamilton, about half-a-second a lap.
61' Glock has consistently been outperformed by veteran team-mate Trulli this season as he seeks to adapt from GP2; however the Toyota driver is showing a Piquet-esqe change of fortune so far today. He remains fourth while Trulli is ninth.
62' All 20 cars still on track: no spins, no crashes, no out-and-out drama. Just fascinating battles everywhere.
63' Four seconds the gap between Massa and Hamilton. Felipe may have a light fuel load.
64' Scot Coulthard in 11th behind Brazilian Piquet, a good battle developing there. Nelson of course took his first podium in the last race in Germany, finishing second after leading with only a few laps remaining.
66' There was a brief coming together by the front pair back at the start, but Massa gave Lewis plenty of room and simply outpaced him. It could have ended far more ugly had they both hogged the tarmac.
67' Mark Webber fighting with Raikkonen back in sixth and seventh. The Australian taking the race to the faltering Scuderia hero.
68' Now we have a race in prospect: can the Ferrari, apparently lacking speed compared to its Woking rival, hold off the rampaging, bold Hamilton? It is ery difficult to pass on this track, as I said before.
69' Massa was fearless while Alonso also showed guts to pass Kimi. Piquet gained then dropped a couple of places after running wide.
69'
Massa past Hamilton!!! He did brilliantly to catch the McLaren man even though Lewis seemed to get a decent start. Kovalainen third, Timo Glock up into fourth in his Toyota, Kubica fifth, Fernando Alonso sixth in the Renault, then Raikkonen, Nelson Piquet Jr, Mark Webber and Jarno Trulli.
70'
AND WE'RE GO GO GO!!! MASSA TAKES ON HAMILTON INTO TURN TWO!!!
13:00 The warm-up lap begins, the cars weaving about as per usual.
12:55 Final touches made to the machines as the teams swarm over the grid: 20 cars ready to scream into the sunshine. It makes you feel glad to be alive.
12:50 The drivers are entering their cars, ready to blast off. There will be limited chances to overtake, giving added value to that pole for Hamilton.
12:45 Hamilton is four points clear of Ferrari's Felipe Massa in the drivers' standings. He starts from third today with BMW's Robert Kubica, fourth overall, alongside him on the second row. The other Scuderia driver, reigning world champ Kimi Raikkonen, is down in sixth - and seven points behind Lewis in the championship.
12:40 Twenty minutes away from the race start and the weather is fine here, very hot.
12:35 British prodigy Lewis Hamilton continued his explosive form by taking pole position in qualifying yesterday from McLaren team-mate Heikki Kovalainen. But can he become the first man since Michael Schumacher in 2006 to win three consectuive races here today?
12:30
The track temperature is hovering around 44 degrees while the wind speed is 3.4 m/s.
