  3. If anyone is interested, championship standings based on the 2009 scoring system would be as follows 1: Alonso - 78 2: Vettel - 78 (2nd due to less 3rd place finishes than Alonso) 3: Raikonen - 63 4: Hamilton - 59 5: Button - 53 6: Webber - 52 7: Rosberg - 36 8: Grosjean - 33 9: Perez - 26 10: Massa - 26 (9th due to less 2nd place finishes) 1: Red Bull - 130 2: Mclaren - 112 3: Ferrari - 104 4: Lotus - 96 5: Mercedes - 51 6: Sauber - 44 Hope some of you find it interesting to compare the old vs new,

  4. Mclaren are 41 points behind Red Bull in the Team table, it's madness to suggest that the team bosses would sacrifice a single point right now to sabotage Hamiltons chances of a Drivers Championship, the team Championship is their No1 goal and until they are sure it's in the bag they will fight with total commitment for every point available. All these suggestions of sabotage and fa\vouritism are nothing more than a bunch of excuses for failings on race day that have quite ordinary explanations such as 'not good enough', 'plain stupid', 'reckless' or plainly 'unlucky'. Today, a dominant drive by Vettel making the most of his opportunities, a Massa Swansong perhaps and a very encouraging and deserved podium for Kobiyashi. Hamilton did well to get points and Button a bit dissapointing not to do better. Grosjean should have to carry a government health warning !

  5. McLaren have treated their drivers badly for a number of years. It's ridiculous that they don't even allow them to keep their own race win or podium trophies. No other team in Formula One does that. I am afraid that McLaren are going backwards and will soon be like the team I support "Williams". Mercedes is on the up and has a lot of investment coming to them next year to improve the car. Hamilton has made a very smart move. Ross Brawn is a winner and Lewis knows that. he has gone there to win, not for the money. Besides Mercedes, we will also see Sauber and Lotus a lot stronger next season. McLaren without Hamilton, and without Mercedes engines next season, and with the present riff raff running the team and the way they treat their drivers are only going backwards. They are going to be a team that are just making up the numbers in the back and mid field.

  6. What a load of rubbish from Frank Payne, Mercedes have never had a car to match Mclaren and on Hamiltons admission will not even win a race next year. The move was all about money, not about racing in a better car. Where the Germans will score is the technological knowledge that McLaren have worked on for years will now be available to them from Hamilton. McLaren gave Hamilton everything he has got from racing, Hamilton's reward is to stab them in the back. I hope Hamilton enjoys his few pieces of silver.

  7. whitmarsh will not allow hamilton to fight for world championship so why does hamilton bother. just tour around until next year when the germans will give him every opportunity to win world championship and earn good money as well.

  8. Vettal won again he is just the best

  9. A Big Congrats to the Men on the podium ESPCIALLY Kobiyashi well deserved.... Also well done to Lewis for a spirited drive despite the fact that your car was compromised in the race next year cannot come soon enough.....

  10. Wow! Jenson nearly got 3rd wow! Always a nearly man what Mclaren need next year is a winner .... simples ..... When they were backing A winner they were in with a shout every season since focus was directed by stealth to Mr percentage they became a mere shadow of their former selves.... Fact! I predict mid field fight in 2013... Zou hear it here first..... the car was flying as usual Lewis out driving the car so the tech men see to it he lose pace and by a whopping 3 secs in one lap check it out and see! from 4 to seven then the gap was maintained , Shocking!!

From Earl, on Sun 7 Oct 8:42
  11. f1 should go back a few years bring back gear-boxes with a gear lever then a clutch pedal and then we would see some good raceing mind you i dout there is eny driver good enough to drive one

  12. Vettel: Thank you very much FIA for keeping Alonso far away from me.

From Sunny, on Sun 7 Oct 8:28
  13. As usual when Button is in front Hamiltons car seem to lose pace.. Hm I wonder why...... It is rather obvious deeds does not back up words in Mclaren... that car looks a shadow of itself from a mere race ago... Hm... There are more questions than answers

  15. The car is sounding fine and he went purple a couple of times yet he is hedging his bet for not being able to do anything aboutbKobayahi.... even the team has told him the car is fine.....

From Earl, on Sun 7 Oct 7:56
  16. It seems to me that Mclaren has shifted car develaopment focus on JB which is like GT racing hence the car is touring around gently ( Yawn !! ) Thats what you get when someone is not quick enough... poor Lewis has to carry the can for a car thats set up for Le Mans !! not F1

From Earl, on Sun 7 Oct 7:52
  17. Yawn....................procession again...................watch World Superbikes or BSB for proper racing.
