  4. Good old days? That would be Fangio, Von Tripps, Hill, Clark, Moss... now it's all just aerospace on wheels. Just be glad you don't live in that States, where they somehow insanely beleive NASCAR is "real" racing. F1 on TV? In the USA??? Yeah right.

  5. as a life long supporter of fi i am afraid that as usual greed has overtaken common sense as far a fi is concerned. sky will soon stop the old enthusiasts who can no longer afford their fees from veiwing live and i am afraid it will go the same way as cricket.
well bernie havent you done well!!!!!!!

From Peter Warren, on Wed 7 Mar 18:23
  6. So what the hell was wrong with showing F1 on the good old BBC ? It's all about squeezing every last penny out of the British public. RIP OFF Britain & TAXED to the very core - bet we'll soon have to pay tax on new born babies, mark my words it'll happen. I'm not paying £40 a month to Sky for the priviledge to watch my favourite sport, I'll buy other means to watch it cos you ain't getting another penny out of me.

From I fooking dare ya, on Sat 3 Mar 7:41
  7. I think it is disgusting that F1 have gone over to Sky.
As for giving a better service than the BBC, I very much
    doubt it.
I hope you can sleep at night Bernie!!!
    Petrol Head.

  8. with all the money going around Murdoch must have given a nice back hander for F1 going to sky
Think of all the people who havent got sky. bbc will show hilights , but when you know the resolts its not the same.
As for someone saying it will be better on sky - perhaps he can afford it .I and many more like me CANT.
I suppose Bernie Ecc `` made a nice bundle from it .
    A sad day for F1 !!!!!

I'm glad F1 has gone to Sky.
They do everything better when it comes to sport.

    Football is better
    Cricket is better
    Rugby is better
    Tennis is better
and now F1 will be better on it's OWN DEDICATED CHANNEL.

No commercial breaks during races and the best parts of BBC's team all joining the fun.

From Chris, on Thu 16 Feb 20:00
  10. Lord of Time,
Its a team sport, you wouldn't expect a footballer to be penalised for passing the ball?
The car is being lapped therefore not actually racing for position, why should the lead car be penalised because of a slow car?
The 107% rule is there to stop excessively slow cars being a hazard and causing accidents.
Would you also like to see the cars swapped about aswell? perhaps they could pull them out of a hat and you could end up with Button driving for Force India in a Ferrari.

maybe they could just put the finishing positions in a hat and have the drivers pulling out their final race positions. That way you could have Pastor Maldonado driving for Force india winning with their Ferrari while sat in the driver's brief playing Alonso at darts on the Wii

  11. Weight distribution, will they be able to comply with the rules when under braking and acceleration?

From jack butler, on Tue 14 Feb 6:14
  12. New rear wing rules. 107% rules. Rules, rules, rules. The best thing is that I will not be subscribing to Mr Murdoch's pyramid money making scheme and therefore it won't affect me. I shall be left with my glorious memories of Peterson, Hill,Hunt,Regazzoni,Senna,Mansell,Button and Alonso as I saw them both on the telly and at the track. Sky failed us all miserably once, why it thinks this time will be any different God only knows. We all know that in the world of commercial TV it is the advertisers who call the tune and we all remember ITV's disaterous commercial breaks. Just remeber that Sky run adverts in 10 minute blocks!!!

  13. F1 is great because if you are really into the races you should go and watch them from the stands if you can afford it but Vettel is not going to make history because the team are putting everything new on Vettel's car and not given Mark Webber a turn to test the pieces out from his point of view!

    From glb_12003, on Wed 8 Feb 0:35
  14. whatch a real motor sport NASCAR and Indycar all free to watch on the web
