0 That's it everybody. Not many quick times there, mainly due to the teams running on the softer compound tires. Heikki Kovalainen was the quickest, followed by Alonso and Kubica. Join us tomorrow for the third practice session at 9am, with the qualifying taking place at 12pm, both of those British times.
3 Fischicella and Nakajima crash into one another, they go around the turn side by side, Nakajima loses the back end of his car and they both spin around.
4 Fernando Alonso goes into the final sector, up on Kovalainen's time, but it falls apart and he finishes 0.300 down on the McLaren.
6 Debris flies from Kovalainen's McLaren, more problems for them.
12 Massa asks his team on the radio who is going quickly on the soft tires? I can tell him, no one at all. It will be interesting to see how the teams manage the softer compound tires on Sunday.
18 A pretty mundane practice session this, only Hamilton has set a personal best.
23 More misery for Ferrari as Massa locks his steering and he runs off of the track.
25 Piquet and Nakajima both have a little spin, but no worries, they carry on once more.
26 Button is back on the track, with the slower, softer tires.
30 A disgruntled Raikkonen has been on the radio and has complained that the right wing of his car was the reason why he was half a second down. He brings the car in for some changes.
34 We have just had word that all of the quick times are being set on the harder tire compounds rather than the softer ones.
40 Unsurprisingly, Hamilton's car is in the garage, he has his gloves off and is discussing the problems with the car. The top three are: Kovalinen, Alonso and Kubica.
42 Lewis has another little slip, his reactions are good though and he avoids a third spin.
43 Kubica has got up to second place.
47 Lewis has had another spin. His car is showing just how difficult his McLaren is to control. Again the abck of his car went away from him, this time on turn nine.
52 We had not had a spun car...we have now. Lewis Hamilton turns in at turn one and then loese control of the back of his car. Quite surprising, he was not going at too high a speed there.
55 Vettel is going to be out of this practice session then, that is a big blow for him. He was looking at the back of the car with the stewards suggesting problems with the drive shaft. He radioed to his team saying he felt a vibration, stopping the car on his own accord. Mark Webber will now be carrying all of the weight for the Red Bull team.
57 Now Vettel is off of the track again, a technical fault has caused him to get out of the cop pit. He has only done four laps.
58 Vettel is out on the track and sets the third quickest time.
60 The McLarens have been quick today. Hamilton was the second quickest this morning and now Kovalinen is leading.
62 We have just heard that Renault will not be testing with the Kenetic Energy Reproduction System (or KERS) this afternoon.
64 Nakajima has been quick all day and he becomes the quickest of the day...for around four seconds before Rosberg takes that title back once more.
68 After a busy start, we just have a handful of drivers on the track. No sign of the spin offs we saw on the track this morning, though it is still very dusty out there.
74 The only driver we have not seen so far is Vettel who is now suiting up after the mechanics did some work on his car.

TURKEY !!!!
shut up u british pig ........
internet is for everyone........
Jenson will be on look out for Red Bull, they are way behind on points, yet have nearest chance of catching him.
Theres only Barricelo realisticly in the competition with him at the moment. If Jenson can get a few more wins under his belt his team mate will be all hes got to keep ahead of.
Hey Polish turds - Post in ENGLISH on this site or else get lost to your own crappy page!
Next year best team? Kubica & Alonso in Ferrari...
Well my genius F1 experts. Can you tell me where Button was after 2nd free practice every race this year? And can you tell me where he was on the grid in each of those races and where he finished in the actual race? Hahahahah.
If you all know so much about F1 racing surely you understand that Braun had very little pre-season practice. Practice between racing is not allowed, so they have to use unofficial practice at each GP to futher test. They use the telemetry reading from these sessions to learn about the car, things they could not do before the season.
But come official practice and race day, they know what to do. Don't they? Well they keep winning....
GO BMW SAUBER PETRONAS...MAKE MALAYSIA PROUD AND MAIDEN PODIUM...
Nice to see how they are doing but shows no resemblance to what will happen in tomorrows Qualifying.
You don't get points for being fastest in free practice.
i think s.vettel have chance to win this race
Looks like several teams are closer to "making silk purses from sow's ears" this weekend. Should be an exciting race if improvements continue.
I guess the race will be deficult 4 the brawn car
and Maclaren, Toyota and BMW will be there to show some hope.
Ricardo
Your Toyota seems stronger to this GP
Good lucky.
Nayo will U be at Mundus?
It is the Ice man that will show how it's done. The flying fin is woken. With the power of seven men he is going to come and win from here to the end.Kimi Raikkonen the man.
As has been said on here a million times before - Don't take these times seriously.
These times are not a true reflection of the pace. So don't count your chickens yet pawel500.
Who fancies an omelette?
TURKEY ! ! ! ! ! ! !
raiders1, hamilton spinning doesnt mean a thing. The practice session is there for you to push the car as hard as you can without repercusions. schumacher used to spin all the time in practice ,he just then made a mental note of how hard he could push on each corner then strung all of that together during qualifying. If someone doesnt spin in practice then either the car is too slow or they are just not trying hard enough
Brawn is Down, hehe
who is the man
who is the man
the man the man
A @#$% with agressive drive
LH
