  1. 44/44 - KIMI RAIKKONEN WINS!! A brilliant victory for the Finn, who celebrates with a well-deserved doughnut! Massa comes in second, while third and fourth for McLaren represents a decent damage-limitation exercise.

  2. 43/44 - Hamilton runs wide!! The Briton is lucky there's a nice wide run-of area as he completely overcooks a left-hander before regaining control. What was he thinking? There's nothing to gain by thrashing it at this stage. Lucky man.

  3. 42/44 - These final laps are turning into one long victory parade for Kimi Raikkonen. It has been a faultless display from the Finn, who has had a tough year. He finally appears to be in sync with his car.

  4. 40/44 - Nick Heidfeld looks set to win the battle for fifth from Nico Rosberg, with Mark Webber also in the points.

  5. 39/44 - The only remaining battle of note would seem to be for eighth place, with Robert Kubica all over the back of Heikki Kovalainen.

  6. 37/44 - Hamilton in and out in fourth place. Seven laps to go and the leading positions look nailed on. Plenty of big gaps between the front runners.

  7. 36/44 - Alex Wurz is out of the race, the fourth retirement of the afternoon.

  8. 35/44 - Hamilton is the last of the leaders to pit, and will do so from second place. He will just be looking to get out in fourth position.

  9. 33/44 - Fernando Alonso comes in for his second pit stop. 5.8 seconds and out - he is just in front of Heidfeld and is set for a podium position.

  10. 32/44 - Takuma Sato goes round the outside of Jenson Button and is up into 13th. Nice manoeuvre from Button's former BAR team-mate.

  11. 31/44 - David Coulthard's car expires - difficult to say what - and he is out of the race.

  12. 30/44 - Race order after 30 laps: 1-Raikkonen, 2-Massa, 3-Alonso, 4-Hamilton, 5-Heidfeld, 6-Rosberg, 7-Webber, 8-Kubica, 9-Kovalainen, 10-Schumacher.

  13. 28/44 - Takuma Sato is all over the back of Jenson Button, who is havning yet another rotten weekend. Hamilton might be struggling, but at least he isn't involved in a scrap for 14th.

  14. 26/44 - Lewis Hamilton seems to be fighting the car as he chases Fernando Alonso. He is saved the bother of lapping Anthony Davidson, who locks up and runs wide.

  15. 25/44 - Jenson Button has come in for his one and only pit stop. He comes out in 12th, and a points finish is probably beyond the Briton.

  16. 23/44 - Heikki Kovalainen is in for his one stop. He takes on a load of fuel and is out in 10th place. But that will improve as the rest of the field come in for thier second pit stops.

  17. 22/44 - It's very much Ferrari's day as we reach half distance. That Massa brake issue seems to have subsided and the Scuderia seem to be cruising towards a crushing one-two.

  18. 21/44 - The difference between Raikkonen and Hamilton is quite amazing - the leader is lapping at around 1:48.5, Hamilton almost a full second slower.

  19. 20/44 - Kimi Raikkonen continues to pile on the pressure. He has a 4.5 second cushion ahead of Massa, with Alonso and Hamilton 15 and 17.5 seconds adrift respectively.

  20. 18/44 - In comes Heidfeld. A 7.3 second stop for the German, who re-emerges in sixth place behind Kovalainen.

  21. 17/44 - A long stop for Hamilton, too. He is nowhere near Alonso as he emerges from the pits. Heidfeld is now up to third as he has not yet pitted. Kovalainen and Schumacher are the other leading runners who have not been in yet.

  22. 16/44 - Raikkonen and Alonso pit! They stop for 9.3 and 9.5 seconds respectively, taking on around 85-90 litres of fuel which should set them up for a lengthy middles section.

  23. 15/44 - Adrian Sutil is all over the back of David Coulthard, who is being forced to take a very defensive line.

  24. 14/44 - Nico Rosberg is the first man to pit, quickly followed by Mark Webber. It seems the Red Bull man took on slightly more fuel - 70 litres - which should be good enough for 17 laps.

  25. 12/44 - Adrian Sutil is showing great speed. He has already overtaken three drivers - one of them Jenson Button - on his way to 12th place. He now has his sights set on David Coulthard.

  26. 10/44 - Sebastian Vettel pull into the pits and his race is over. There was smoke pouring out of his car, so no surprise at all to see the Toro Rosso retire.

  27. 9/44 - Everything is getting a bit strung out at the front. Lewis Hamilton is losing a second a lap to Raikkonen, although he is well clear of Rosberg in fifth. This has all the makings of a Ferrari rout.

  28. 8/44 - Race order after seven laps: 1-Raikkonen, 2-Massa, 3-Alonso, 4-Hamilton, 5-Rosberg, 6-Webber, 7-Heidfeld, 8-Kovalainen, 9-Kubica, 10-Schumacher.

  29. 7/44 - Kovalainen has been bumped down to eighth place, with Renault opting for a heavy fuel load and a probable one-stop strategy. He is just about fending off Robert Kubica at the moment.

  30. 6/44 - The McLarens are losing touch with the front-runners, and unless there are retirements it looks like third and fourth is the best Alonso and Hamilton can hope for.

  31. 5/44 - The Ferrari pit crew are out and looking concerned, but then return to their post. It appears to be related to Felipe Massa's brakes, but can he 'shrug off' the problem? He trails race leader Raikkonen by two seconds.

  32. 4/44 - A spin for Alex Wurz. There may have been some contact there with the Williams man.

  33. 3/44 - Race order after three laps: 1-Raikkonen, 2-Massa, 3-Alonso, 4-Hamilton, 5-Rosberg, 6-Kovalainen, 7-Webber, 8-Heidfeld, 9-Schumacher, 10-Coulthard.

  34. 2/44 - Giancarlo Fisichella is already out of the race. He was in the spare car after an engine problem in qualifying, and his afternoon is over already.

  35. 1/44 - Raikkonen and Massa are rather more serene at the front. They run first and second, with the Finn already opening up a bit of a gap here. Mark Webber was also forced wide at La Source, the opening hairpin.

  36. 1/44 - GOOOOOO!!! There's nearly contact at the first corner as Alonso forces Hamilton onto the run-off area. The Briton comes back at him through Eau Rouge, they are side-by-side but Alonso stands his ground and clings on to third place! Wow!

  37. 13:02 - A look at the Constructors' Championship standings shows McLaren dead last on zero points. They will not be eligible for any constructors' points in the remaining races of 2007.

  38. 12:59 - The formation lap is under way. Renault's Giancarlo Fisichella will start from the pit lane, having been relegated to the back of the grid for changing his engine.

  39. 12:57 - We're almost ready to go! The weather is a little overcast and rain is a possibility. That would really shake things up with Ferrari looking otherwise supreme this weekend.

  40. 12:00 - It's Ferrari one and two on the grid and Lewis Hamilton will desperate to get one over on them in the race that will start at 13:00 UK time.

  41. 12:00 - Good afternoon and welcome to LIVE coverage of the Belgian Grand Prix from Spa-Francorchamps.
