I think it's largely BS.
Although it could be Sven manipulating Rooney to disregard SAF's advice and take the chance of early return.
In a real diabolical conspiracy theory, it could be Sven trying to damage the relationship so that he may be able to buy Rooney at his next club.

if you turn the tables tho and Rooney gets injured (god i hope not) the press will be all over Sven blaming him for runing our WC chances for playing him to early... if he doesnt play then Fergie will be blames - its all down to how the press perceive somethings

Just because we are paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get us! Probably just some Fergie-hating elements of the press, but you never know.... I have never really understood why Chelski let us have a free run at Wayne.
