Richardson or not
hey im kinda new to this but have read alot of threads, i was just wondering what your thoughts of Kerian Richardson are.
Personaly i think that hes a good player but needs more games. Yes obviously he will improve with training with the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo, but a player with his talent needs more of a chance at club and international level as well.
What aer your thoughts?
David-
i like him as a player - he has pace and sometimes throws in a good cross - think he has alot of potential, just needs to mature a bit and get a good run out.

spot on hiya, we need to back him and hve faith in him rather than criticise him day in and day out..thats not wat manutd is about. we should be getting behind the youngsters and give them their fair chance, and let fergie decide the rest.

scored a goal tonite, although a lucky one. i donno, but he has this air of self belief around him that he can make it here, let's give the boy time and leave the rest to fergie.

Richardson reminds me of Sharpe after Giggs came on the scene, huge underachiever.
He has shown glimpses of what he can do, but he's not consistent enough. He was the same in the reserves, and had it not been for the fact that over the past 10 years or so, we have had only 1 true left winger (with the exception of Blomqvist in 1999) I feel Richardson would possibly not lasted more than one season outside the reserves at United.- 1 Reply to 1999

Last season for him to produce, if not it's got to be out. At best only a squad player!

fair point, but he needs regular games to develop and i dont think he will get that at utd at the moment.
loaning is the best way to further his career in my opinion as long as he doesnt warm the bench like rossi at newcastle. -
I agree with u good player for future, so what about a loan spell at somewhere like west ham or charlton, where he would get more of a chance of first team football which is what he needs right now.

Squad player only.

hey david,
yea richardson is a good player and he will get better with more chances but prob is, he's a manchester united player and with the likes of giggs and ronaldo out there, as long as they are fit, it would be very hard for him to get into the team. however, he is valued by fergie because of his versitality as he can play both in the midfield and the defence much like o'shea. as long as international level is concerned, well its all too unpredictable right now, mclaren will probably use joe cole in the left so not much of a chance there either. nonetheless, hez got a good future ahead of him and being a manutd player, he'll keep on learning from the likes of giggs and ole and will become an accomplished player.- 1 Reply to Pritul

Thanks for your reply.
I totaly agree, for a moment though i thought he mite go on loan just like bardsly which if u ask me was a big mistake. an extra right back never hurt anyone. On the england side of things is downing the way to go, i dont think so, not the way hes been playing so far. And lennon needs more games for england as well, but thats enough about that. What did you make of Martin during pre season?
I thought he played reasonably well i hope we keep him for the future.
Cheers David
