Manchester United Message Board
This seems to be the general consensus, except for those who deny he ever dives, no condemnations that I could find, even from those who come on here and condemn Ronaldo.
"He Knows a mistimed challenge in the box ie players doesnt get the ball and touches the man, What is the point in fighting to stay on his feet and more often than not follows a poor shot, so result he wins a penalty very simple."
I really hope this has cleared things up for you robert, but if not try watching the alleged dive on you tube. Pay close attention to the defenders trailing right foot as it stands on gerrards right foot as he is attempting to take the ball with his left leg. In football we call this a foul, and when this happens inside the penalty box , a penalty is awarded.
After watching it, if you still are unsure please reply to me and I can run through the rules more carefully for you.
Next week Ill teach you offside rule ok robbie
"Seems about as blatant a dive as it goes"
Youre words robert , there are no rational arguments to support this statement because the statement is ridulous. So correct , you know nothing about football. Thats ok though continue watching, follow the herd and write more inane posts robert.
Oh and "aguyhavingapad" , thats some clever word play robert I do hope you didnt strain yourself thinking that one up.
Dont worry keep watching these boards and Im sure there will be another bandwagon coming along for you soon.
Ahhh yes, old 'Smokin' Joe Kilroy. Your talking very early days for the Broncos there, i.e. 88 when they first joined the competition.
It cracks me up how the entire state of Queensland almost shuts down whenever State of Origin swings around, but south of the border they basically don't give a damn. If the Maroons lose a game (or the series), they mourn for weeks up north, in NSW it's reported the next day then forgotten about the day after.
If you're into it, you're half Aussie I'm afraid.
And I'm with you on basketball.
It's gotta be after 1am there now, better hit the sack.
I'd never seen a game of league before I came here. When I got to QLD the Broncos started, and one of them, Joe Kilroy, lived opposite me, so I got to go to the games, until he got nicked.
Regional TV up here in those days was the ABC and a mixed channel with bits of the commercial channels that closed down at midnight.
The only sport we got on the TV was the Broncos, every game, and the Brisbane Bullets ... and I hate basketball.
My son-in-law's brother plays for the Tigers, and my mates son plays for the Cowboys, so I get to root for a few games.
I couldn't watch just any game, but if there's something on it I enjoy it.
State of Origin is really big in our family, split between NSW and QLD, I've always been QLD, even when I moved back to NSW. We had a weekly poker night, and when Origin was on I'd either lose a packet in bets or win one, great nights, and HUGE in Cairns, they shut down streets and show it on huge screens.
I wouldn't call XXXX beer....wretched stuff.
You didn't answer my question the other day drunken, about whether you have adopted the QLD State of Origin team, or rugby league in general...
Half my family have moved to QLD from NSW in the last 5-10 years, and it's caused most of them to forget about where they came from, overwhelmed by the local support for their silly team in what is really a silly sport.
Hope you haven't been duped....
drunk, since you're now delibrately avoiding me I guess it's 1 - 0 to myself, and game over.
Henceforth, do NOT post on me thread or reply to me post ever. If you want peace of mind let me get on with my thing and I promise to leave you alone son. DEAL?
