United as an operational unit posts the largest revenue figures ever. Its operational profit is up, another record figure.
The losses are held in the holding company, ie they are the shareholder's debt. They have structured it this way so as to use UK losses in their consolidated figures in their overall holding company in the States to make best advantage of the double taxation treaty betwen the US and UK. Most of the increased debts are on the loans made to the Glazer family directly by the Hedge Funds.
The Glazers have leveraged their ownership in United so as to maximise capital growth and minimise tax.
The only relevant figures as far as United are concerned as a football club are the operating profits. They are the best of any club in the world by a fairly hefty margin.
I am probably wasting my time , but at least the ABU's spouting drivel on this topic mightas well know the reality instead of their warped version.
