I never said that ball should have been dealt with by the defenders, the one before should have, and you may be right that he was taking it into the box to pick it up, my point was that I believed he did it becuase the first incident bothered him, he knew the ball could have rebounded anywhere.
I agree that he can recover and become the number one, or it could go the other way, but we cant slaughter him for doing what others have done, mistakes happen, learning form them is the key, but we don't do too well at that, especially when we are taught that failing makes us a failiure.
Oh come on, what were you watching, on the first incident in he dawdled and that let Tevez close in on him.
On the second incident he had plenty of time to clear to row Z but, chose to try keep possession instead of giving up an obvious throw. It was poor decision making.
It's there for everyone to see, he thinks way too much, is unsure on each of the thoughts that goes through his mind.
He needs to go safety first if there is even the slightest doubt. I think it's a bit early to call for his head but, he if now after that game and the Charity Shield game, he has not learned the saftey first instinct, then he certainly never will.
He can be better, he will be better, his shot saving capability is there. He needs more first team, high pressured games to improve on his fast decision making and definitely needs more than 6 games to show whether he is a United keeper or not.
