The problem Nani has is Valencia.

Nani plays on the right for Portugal and does very well, but unlike Ronaldo, is complete mince when deployed on the left wing. So SAF has to choose between either playing Nani or Valencia on the right.

Valencia has been doing very well on the right and it'd be unfair on the lad to drop him. And since he has no left foot at all, playing him on the left and Nani on the right instead isn't really an option. So the only thing Nani can do is try and buck up and become a better left winger.

Why oh why did SAF buy both Valencia and Obertan, as both are right footed, (as is Nani) when what is required is a natural left midfielder/winger? Even Park is right footed!

Rotation is an option I mean Giggs sits in the bench many times and it is obvious he is our best left winger. Nani should be given the chance in the right wing because Fergie has never given him that chance last season he barely used him and he has given that position inmediately to Valencia before he started to proof something.

I don't understand why Fergie had so much patience with Ronaldo and has no patience towards Nani
