If we sell Rooney
If Utd sold Rooney it would be 'Game Over', Utd would slip down the table and would struggle to get a decent manager to come in and replace Fergie when he decides to retire.
We are already struggling as it is with the lack of quality we have right now, so selling the best forward in the league would not exactly help us to be a better team; even with this rumour Utd fans need to start demanding the Glazers sell Utd or that they cover the debt they have caused.
Over the next few seasons the next ten years will be decided, history shows that when a team has dominated for so long any demise will be a long and difficult one, look at Utd after Busby, look at Liverpool.
Fergies unwillingness to go into the transfer market is a sign of the troubles we face, in previous years he did hesitate to bring new players in, even if sometimes he brought in the wrong players.-
Will you just come out of the closet and admit you support Arsenal or whoever it is. This whole bit got boring months ago. Find a hobby

Well done Clive good post. The truth always hurt's....!

and on the point of Fergie not spending big in the summer...
My feelings back in August were he would have got a quality midfielder and forward if money was available and he only made out he was happy with signings like Obertan and Owen because he had no choice but to put on a brave face.
Looks like I was right.- 1 Reply to Neil

Yes you were right most likely, however I was also right to say that he was also part of the problem because he came out and lied to the fans.
Telling the truth may have annoyed the owners, but the fans would have stood up for him and made sure any action would have been on the Glazers and not Fergie, but in coming out and trying to make the Glazers look good is the same as taking their side and supporting what they are doing.

Bottom line - we must find a way to get the Glazers out and try to hold on to Rooney and other top stars in the meantime.
If not, maybe I will have to turn my support to FC United.
I'm not going to want to support a team as much if I don't agree with the infra structure and can see that the needs of the club and fans are ignored. I am already a little disillusoined with football - players wages disproportianate with club debt. So it wont take much to become a football supporter rather than a club supporter. -
You are the best. Utd are close to bust. Clive's answer borrow more. No one is gonna lend Utd any more money. You have to sell to buy.

Andypandy really does suit you as name, a child like person.
I never said we should borrow more money, Utd did not borrow the money in first place, it was the Glazers that borrowed the money.
If you are not going to use your brain then sell it to someone who might be able to use it.
