they were terrific today, and deserved all 3 points.
we have now become the away draw specialists and we wont win the league if we play like this.
totally not good enough but on the plus side, another clean sheet and it just so happens its been rio and vidic at the back,
vidic was superb but other than that, cant really say anyone else played that well.
definitely a point won but more points lost to chelsea who i expect to be 5 points clear tomorrow evening.
also our next 2 prem games are at home so should get back to winning ways-

I just heard that Fletcher played!
Can't remember seeing him. ;-)
Berbatov looked like he did last season. Sulky.
Don't know if that was his assessment of the complete inability of all players to pass today or because he was left on the bench.- View Replies

So did Nani, very inconsistent, and frustrating. I could kick his fuckin arse at times.

Ask any footballer "are you fit to play" and they'll say "yes!" (providing they are in it for the love of the game and not the money/fame)
To be fair though, he has always been a striker that scores in fits 'n bursts. Generally you just wait for him to bang one in and then he'll go on a little scoring run. -

I was under the impression that until Ronaldo left, he was always considered a CF rather than an out and out striker.
I agree that at the World Cup, he did not appear fully fit. I saw plenty of times where in the league, he would have challenged for a ball, but at the W/C he pulled out of a challenge, or left it.
So you think that once he scores one or two, that he will go on a run? Like it's a confidence thing? I think it could be much more than that. -

There are bound to be some in the team who are either disappointed in him, or frustrated. They are all mates/team mates after all.
I don't think Rooney is the type to do anything like that on purpose. (unlike Gallas)
The reliance on a few players in a team will weight heavy after a while, and I do wonder if that is a problem for him. He is a huge key element in the Utd engine.
I didn't watch the game today so wouldn't like to comment on any particular players that may not have performed, but taking Owen off at half time was a bit strange if he wasn't injured.
Thank god the season is only in it's early days. - View More Messages
