  • Webb got that one wrong!

Reina goes down, Liverpool play on, and attack, Webb does nothing.

Liverpool lose possession, Webb blows the whistle.

It was up to Liverpool to stop play, not United, they chose not to, what the fuck was Webb doing?

If he always intended to stop play, why didn't he do it when Liverpool were in possession, and attacking?

actually he didn`t get it wrong- first of all it wasn`t a head injury and secondly as long as liverpool retained possession of the ball any non-emergency injury to their goalkeeper was irrelevant; they`re hardly likely to attack their own end. Once utd gained possession then the fact that the goalkeeper - who is the one player no-one else can fill in for - was still on the ground became an issue. The one major decision he did get wrong was not to show Johnson a second yellow for wrestling Valencia to the ground.
