Kagawa
OK Norwich aren't the greatest side, but any question mark against Kagawa was his aptitude against teams set out to 'hurt', which Norwich certainly were. His ability is clear, today he proved his courage. Its taken a bit of acclimatisation , but he looked very good today and took all 3 of his goals superbly.

About time, but one good game does not a player great or worth the money.
But maybe he will get some confidence from today- 2 Replies to Clive

To be fair, I felt he was in good form before his injury, but it does look like he may be fully over that injury now.

And Rooney was man of the match for me, 1 great goal and 2 assists, both laid the the ball into kagawa for two easy goals.

I knew you'd make a thread about Kagawas performance today, at least one of us has some foresight!
As myself and Stefan argued you before, his courage was never in question, he proved that in his excellent debut against Everton, and several times since. Its just another example of impatient fans jumping the gun with a new player, you being the main culprit this time.
It would be nice Jim if you showed a bit of humility (just once?) and had started the thread with a title like 'I was wrong', but in your head you've already convinced yourself you aren't, haven't you?- 2 Replies to Le Pruneau

Foresight that took until March from August to be realised.
To point out what even Fergie and his old manager have said, is not 'an impatient fan jumping on the bandwagon' , merely stating the obvious. Its taken him some time to adjust. Hopefully he can kick on from today. Then he will be an excellent addition to the squad.
I continue to be honoured by the attention you obviously give to my posts, thank you. And I say that with great humility. -
I think that's a little harsh. If Jim was still on Kagawa's case after today's performance, you'd have a point, but he's giving Kagawa his due, here. I haven't agreed with his criticisms of Kagawa, either, but this thread seems like a fair response.

It's interesting that they had his old manager from Dortmund on Football Focus (Klopp, right?), who was saying that we hadn't seen Kagawa's best, partly from injury. The timing of that statement and this game was pretty serendipitous.
One thing worth mentioning, apart from the goals (which are worth man of the match on their own), was that we have been talking about his ability to perform well for a whole 90 minutes, rather than fade away, and his last 2 games came much later in the match than he has normally been performing effectively at. Maybe it was just a matter of fitness, recovering from injury, and adjusting to the style of the league. Or maybe it was just one match. If he can perform near to this fo the rest of the title run-in, he'll have come into form at just the right moment.- 1 Reply to Wise Son
