What is really important is that we sign a 'like-for-like' replacement. Whilst I personally think Healy, not Hulse, could do a great job for us, it might be in a straight shoot-off with Becchio. We need somebody who is quick, has a clean finish and can beat the keeper one-on-one a'la Becks, not another scrapper like Becchio - which is just as important for team balance, but not requiring the same level of dedication..

I would love to see us look at taking advantage of Cardiff's financial woes and grabbing Bothroyd and Whittingham, even Chris Burke. And if Kris Boyd is being linked with a Championship club like Middlesborough, though I personally think he will go to the EPL, surely it is worth making a massive play and trying to convince him that he could be the man to take us up to the EPL, that we could focus our strategy around him upfront.

Ambitious, but by beating EPL clubs to sign Kasper Schmeicel it is definitely worth a punt. Happy to see the club are looking to tie down Kilkenny and Johnson with longer term contracts (they have 12 months remaining) but think that there is no rush to extend Naylor and Becchio who have a similar timeframe remaining.

Certainly an exciting few weeks ahead, looking forward to seeing the released players list, I don't mind free transfers if they are coming from EPL or SPL or good leagues abroad.. MOT

I stand corrected Bats! As you say maybe we were getting spoilt, but damit we need to be! Just as we need to be next season! Though I do not think losing a nine point lead in number one spot, dfroppin to fourth and clambering back to 2nd then hanging on can really be called momentum, not unless you mean downhill! No Grayson did say it would not be easy! Thing is the way I see it is like this: If you want to be in the CCC when your in League One you have to play like a CCC Team to get there and not like a league one team! To win the CCC we have to have practically a team capable of surviving in the EPL! Its maybe a matter of overkill but like Newcastle ( who luckilx already had an EPL Team) you have to take the league and shake it up! That costs money! Over to you Mr Bates!
