weve got goal getters we need two good defendrs and what would have been a player to play alongside howsen now we need two midfield players to give there all for us.

Peter I don't think any player is worthy of that sort of treatment especially from your own fans. Ross was never a replacement for Beckford as they are not in the same mould as strikers. Ross has always operated best playing off and in tandem with a front man. As for speed you don't need it to fulfil your role as a striker all you need is to be in the right place at the right time and given the right service in the box the goals will come. A goal scorer is a goal scorer irrespective of what level they play at.

This Norwich prospective move speaks volumes for me, a major disappointment in my eyes regarding Elland Road---but I suppose he's had to do something about his career. When he gets up there I'm sure he'll fly.

While we're discussing strikers who you guys won't sign, our new Messiah at Pools, Neil Cooper's scouring the country to bring some kind, any kind of half decent forward on loan because we've got none. He's spoken to David Moyles who's seeing what he can do, and been on the phone to Fergie his old boss at Aberdeen. He's asked Larry if he can have Billy Paynter for a couple of months and he's thinking about it.
