    How can Campbell think sunderland are a massive club, they finished 1 point above city.
    We will see how big a club they are this coming season.
    More talk again from brown but no signings, we may as well have hold on to Deno, what a mess brown is getting us into nobody want to play under hime after the Man city half time #$%$

      Sunderland go back a long time and were rightly called the "Bank of England Club" once over. It all depends on how you define a big club. Really, it has to be on the Average gate which in turn amounts to the clubs revenue/income. You have only to look at Arsenal, they have not won a thing for several years but are arguably the "second biggest club" in England.

      Hi John just catching up ! These figures are a bit of a con. Look at the Leeds figure, it shows the City as being the third in UK, yes UK behind London and Birmingham. What it does not say is that it is the Leeds Metropolitan area which includes places like Pudsey,Yeadon,Rawdon,Guisley which are all towns of a sort in their own respect.Sheffield was always bigger than Leeds and now all of sudden the boundaries have been changed. The Hull population is probably quite accurate as the City is out on a limb and does not merge with other nearby Towns as the likes of Manchester conveniently gets merged with the City of Salford. On that same vein,Manchester airport has a Cheshire postcode so how can that be ?

      Hi Bats! What with Brown tryiong to commit the Footballers version of Hari kari by buying aged players and selling those with some class, Ricketts there is not alot for us to do on this board except swop Census Figures! I did write alot more in my first attempt but this baord is playing around agin! Makes life interesting!
