I can't remember for sure, but didn't Savage throw his dolly out of the pram and say that he wouldn't be playing for Wales anymore? If he would play then I'd like to see him in the team, even though he is a bit of a scrapper!

Itruly love it when rival football nations can 'chew the fat' in a civilised manner. Believe me you gave us as good a game as we've had all qualifying. Yes you are heading in the right direction but like you I cant work out what Toshack is doing. Pick your best available side is my thought.

Tosh knows that we cant get to WC 2006, so he's getting together a squad for trying to get to Euro 2008. I guess he's reasoning Savage would be too old by then, so he's looking at younger centre mids like Koumas and Fletcher.
