It’s not a good look. What makes it worse is how he uses the crowd. What starts off as a polite gathering then becomes a mob. It’s not illegal, but it still feels like cheating; at the very least it’s rude and unfair to other professionals. Gasquet should’ve won the third set and therefore the match; he was the better player during that set.

I couldn’t believe my ears when one of the commentators mentioned that Gasquet appeared to be affected by the crowd to which Andrew Castle replied “Good!” I was utterly disgusted by that. I thought that commentators were supposed to be unbiased. I usually enjoy his commentary, but after that, it’s hard to keep my good opinion of him.

That's a disgusting attitude to have. It's one thing to criticise his style of play but to get personal like that says a lot about the type of person you are.

He is doing this for himself, not for England. When the crowd were not partisan, he was loosing, but he used the crowd to put off Gasquet, and it worked. Of course Nadal will crush him, but I would have loved to see more of Gasquet's wonderful backhand.
This isn't football. It's not a national sport, and we should forget nationality and focus on the play of the individuals. As such, Murray was a poor second.
