ok, i'll prob take a hammering for this but as a lifelong man u fan (42 yrs) my humble opinion is that we desperately need a good midfield player. Carrick only gives us glimpses of what he can do, never really kicked on since signing for us. Scholes, to be fair, can only play cameo roles now. Park runs all day without achieving to much, giggs, again a bit part player. as mentioned by others, hargreaves, i'm afraid at moment we cant rely on him coming back to full fitness. Anderson, i think the jury is still out, he and nani may well develop now they are not in the shodow of ronaldo. Fletcher, who up to 2 seasons ago, i did not rate, seems to have come on leaps and bounds and does what incy used to do for us.

Vladimir Stojkovic is a tad younger than Foster if i remember correctly, and is currently without a club. he is quality for Serbia in international duty, and did great when he played his few matches on load at Getafe last season.
