definetly second that...Carrick, while a good player, wouldn't do the team chemistry any good...and he probably wouldn't start..making him unhappy, and ready to move on, so...why bother. He made his bed, so let him lie in it.
Just for my info...what side does Routledge play on...seems like we're going to keep him, and if that's true do we need another winger (or do we keep Routledge for cover).
Anyone familiar with Petrov? I want to say that the amount Athletico want for him would say he's a good player...but I think eveyrone out side of England is taking the Michael with the pricing of their players when the Permiership comes knocking...so the question is, is he worth the money they want for him (and is he worth that much to the team)? Let us know what you think.
Routledge is a right winger. I wouldn't rule out another loan, or even a transfer, before the end of august for him, though - he played last year's pre-season and was shipped out to fulham.
Atletico aren't a bad team - uefa or there abouts, so blackburnish I suppose. Consider that MGP would be the thick end of £15mil.....
Petrov - bulgarian international, played in western europe for a while, injured a bit last term, former bulgarian player of the year. I'd say the price is pretty much par for the course, considering we are buying him from a reasonable team in a decent league, and has experience.
