He's never been given a good run at Liverpool and there's all kinds of speculation flying about regarding loaning him out etc.
He loved his time at Spurs and I reckon you guys loved him. A loan deal till the end of the season---perfect.-

I'd be glad to see him back at the Lane, though regret the manner in which he left us in the first place. Just goes to prove the grass isn't always greener. Even if he were told he'd play only a percentage of games, he'd be willing to prove himself and maybe get back to his old scoring ways and so force his way into the team again. I always thought he worked his socks off playing for us and was rewarded for it with all those goals.
Let's not forget that Ramos also said Pavy & Bent couldn't play together either and when he did it wasn't regularly enough so wasn't surprising they didn't get a chance to gel. With Keane & Berba being the preferred up front partnership last season Defoe didn't get much of a look in though I'm not convinced that Defoe & Pavy are the best combination either. At least Defoe & Keane know each other's style of play, and given the right service from Modric, Lennon, Bentley (when he gets his act together) the Hudd and yes even Chimbo who knows what they could achieve?
It's a confidence thing - and you can't disagree that when Keane was on form and scoring goals we had more confidence than we're showing now. -

Why are Spurs getting all the old players back?....If anyone should be back it should be Steed Malbranque......It was a mistake to let this guy go in the first place....a true work horse.
Next we will be hearing Paul Robinson will be back.
It can't be the manager's fault all the time the players need to get down and start concentrating and improce there passing cutting out the silly mistakes that may cause them to go down.
It is disgusting seeing the kind of money that Spurs have invested in players over the last two season and still we don't have the quality or the balance that every Spurs supporter can see week in week out....
The ex gooner comolli really screwed us over.- View Replies

Id never have Keane back, after his comment of never wanting to leave, and then putting in a transfer request.
He was well on the way to being a spurs legend, let him rot at liverpool.
Not a bad thing in getting Chimbonda back due to hutton being injured, and Gunter not offering much attacking support play.
Where as Chimbonda used to link up well with Lennon, and very good in the air. -

No thanks, the guy showed a complete lack of respect for the team that he was supposed to love by handing in a request after finally winning his first cup of his career. We got the player that I wanted back in Defoe as the guy was forced out the club and showed the love he has for us when he played against us for Portsmouth. You could see how much it meant to him when he scored against Portsmouth too as I don't think he would have cheered like that as it was against his old club. The 2 can't play together as we all know and with the choice of a player who loves the club or one that just said he does is not a tough choice for me!
