Well, it looks like we're definitely without Luka, which is a big blow...not sure if 'arry is up to mischief re Gareth Bale, I should imagine Dougie Maicon is waking up in cold sweats until he knows one way or the other. The best we can hope for is a scoring draw at the SS, although I think we'll be chasing a one-goal deficit at the Lane. That in itself wouldn't be too bad. We've got to tighten up defensively, I'm still a bit concerned about Daws at the moment, he doesn't seem to be 100 pc fit to me, unable to turn quickly enough and he's lost half a yard somewhere since his long injury, but we can't rest him because of all the other injuries in that position, and God help us if Gallas turns up with ill-fitting shorts or something when Inter are on the attack!
The concern for me will be taking any chances that we get. Crouch has a bit of a 'run' in the CL (well he's got a couple), and Daffy has bagged a couple - so hopefully with VdV being fit and possibly with Krancjar maybe we can capitalise on any chances that fall our way.
Nervous or what?
john dont think maicon will be sweating as he play's for inter lol
interesting point about Modric though he will be sorely missed he has been fantastic this season his best season so far.
But dont forget AC Milan will be without there midfield genral Pirlo which is a major boost to us.
Hopefully Gallas will turn up with the right boots on still dont understand how you can go through a warm up and your boots are fine then 10 mins into the game complain about them
Is this our CL 25 man squad?:
3 keepers,10 defenders, including King and Woodgate, 12 midfielders (Pienaar and Sandro feature), and 3 strikers. Maybe I've grown a couple of toes, but I make that 28 - isn't the limit 25 the same as the EPL?
I just read that Jenas is suspended for the Milan game tomorrow!
It's almost certain that both Modric & Bale are out.
vdV is a doubt now!
Does anyone know if Sandro is eligable to play CL now?
If they are all out, we're kind of screwed! Are we not?
I don't fancy us at all if we have to start with both Pienaar and Palacios!!!
I hope i'm just worrying myself needlessly... it could not possibly get this bad! Could it?
Definitely Modric, NBR. He's such a great "fetch and carry" player from box to box, more defensively reliable than the other two, and can operate from side to side. I don't actually think we've seen the best of vdV yet, although some of his performances have been very good, his discipline can be suspect at times. Gareth is brilliant, no doubt about it, but lacks the versatility of Luka, who I believe is a quiet and compact little one-man show!
It's a huge loss not having Modric for this game. And if Bale is indeed still not available, we're really going to be up against it.
Yet I feel that we still have players available that can get a decent result at AC. But we have to be alert and solid
for the ful 90+ mins.
I do agree that the defence is our biggest worry at the moment. Dawson will have to be super-sharp and quick to handle Ibrahimovic. And i'm hoping that Gallas has his boots super-glued on to his feet ;)
I'd probably go for a 4-5-1 for this fixture.
Corluka, Gallas, Dawson, BAE
Lennon, Jenas, vdV, Sandro, Krancjar
Although I can't help wondering if it's worth risking Woodgate for this one... If only :)

sandro cant play wasnt registered so you'll be seeing a line up of..... gomes
at least as long as we dont concede in the first half and maybe later in the second half we will see maybe krank come on for lennon..iam praying for a 1-1 would be a dream result to get away from home.. first half is very important..no silly mistakes esp from palacios and gomes and we have a chance. COYS.

No doubt you'll be tuning in with the rest of the footballing world to watch the real deal on Wednesday!
Greatest fixture of the year, i reckon they should create a special fixture just so the MIGHTY Arsenal get to play Barca at least twice in a season myself.
What a footballing feast!!!
Good luck against Inter...i mean Juventus...oh damn....its Udinese right???
Either way, the CL knock-out stages always serve up some wonderful nights of football. Don't fancy your chances if Bale really is out injured though. Just hope you attack attack attack Parma and it's a joy to watch myself.
