Take the money,Modric is unlikley to sign a new contract, unless they offer the wage the russians ,unlikely,he not happy, sell and get some fresh blood in not aging goalies and others on free transfers.come on harry and danny spend spend or head for the religation zone
Reward him for refusing to play and generally trying to break his contract???? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/23/harry-redknapp-luka-modric-contract?INTCMP=SRCH
Now I'm not precious about these things, I understand why he wants to go & don't really blame him for it, and will cheer him WHEN he next starts for us, but to reward him for it is pure madness. He shouldn't need a sweetener; he signed a contract then changed his mind. He asked to break the contract, we said no. His bonus should be getting away with the way he's since thrown his toys out of the pram! I don't think he should be punished, but letting him benefit from it is at best foolish.

Selling Modric & bringing in some new talent would be to Tottenham's benefit. I know we usually lose to Man U, but not 3-0. I believe that if we had purchased Samba & Adebayour, it would give the whole club a lift. Would of done a world of good prior to Man U. As it goes, we have the same team that finished on a stale note last year, plus a Grange Hill extra that may be causing disruption. Its just a shame Chelsea are the only club that want him.
