    Modric was pretty ineffective yesterday, and with Scott Parker coming in maybe we should sell the little Croatian and use that cash on Cahill and another defender.

      parker will be the 3rd best CM we have behind modric & sandro so he would be a good signing.

      cahill we should go for! he cant be playing worse than dawson or kaboul are!

      we should bid at the very least to make arsenal have to pay more for him.

      apparentley we tryed to throw in bassong or bentley in for cahill, cant see why coyle said no?! lol!

        I bet Daniel wouldn't go the extra 2-3 million for the deal to be done. So now we have to suffer Bassong for the rest of the season. Surely he would have brought in the difference, Begers belief soometimes how our board conduct the business. With Cahill we had the chance of a quality CB pairing that would give us a chance of top 4 or 5. Now I fear we will not only lose Modric at the end of the season but others will want to leave. AND WHO CAN BLAME THEM. No ambition from the board.

      I personally think Cahill is not the one to go for if we are planning to get only one cb in...Samba would be my choice as he is a big, no nonsense defender, who win's header's and clear's ball out of defence as a priority, whereas Cahill is a ball playing cb which we already have in Daw's and Kaboul.
