    I've been away for a week but i thought i heard a radio story that Bale was in the GB footie squad, then pulled out with injury and then played for Spurs???

    If so, poor show by Bale and Spurs FC

      statement i did on talksport issued by THFC.
      This explained the G BALE situation and was very critical of the bad press/tv coverage that SPURS have had.

      No worries Roy, it's understandable, but I think a lot of Spurs fans have had a lot of people jumping down their necks on this, when actually Bale risked a lot when he publicly said last season he wanted to play for GB, and I think we'd all have loved to see it. It is typical media twisting (assuming the club's telling the truth obviously, but given the strength of their protestations I reckon they are), which is a pity - if it'd been Giggs or someone there would've been national mourning!
