Sitting on the fence reply follows....
I can't warm to the man and still don't like him too much, but given the circumstances, I can't fault the general results that he's getting from the team. The performances of late have been getting better (in a non-results way) as well - far more 'fluent' football.
We're still in the chase for 4th, in the Europa and FA Cup - so all in all a good half season for him. I think Mr Levy will be happy so far given the CL position and Europa progress. If AVB can now build on the first half of the season ...then he can be sensibly judged at this point next year.
so far so good pts wise. but not good enough in terms of performance.
we are desperately short upfront now with just defoe.
surely levy has to buy.
we were short even with ade.
its, I have to disagree strongly with u!
the majority of the season we have been creating hardly any good chances. apart from the last few games where we missed a lot of good chances.
most games we barely created anything & were limited to long shots or quarter/half chances.
id say in about 90% of games we have barely created any good chances.

Odd timing - I had just read this:
..that compared AVB to 'arry, and it says that under AVB we've created more chances than any other EPL team.
What constitutes a chance though is anyone's guess - the 240 figure may have come from here:
