i just mean with the money he spent they were good signings. beye and faye were the main ones like. whats your thoughts on rozenhahl? the nzogbia at right back thing seemed to work better under him but he looks really out of place now. i don't like smith but i'm gonna go out there and say barton was a good signing. he just needs time, confidence and the right players to give him a bit of freedom. he's not a defensive midfielder. i even think geremi was an excellent free transfer!
the janaury window was a big chance but the board had other ideas. i think more big players would rather come to a club where allardyce was in charge.
am i the only one that thinks he was the most positive change to nufc since bobby robson?
No I too believe Sam was a positive change, not for ever but for a start, because Newcastle needed some stability, they couldn't just start playing attractive football straight away, they needed a core stability to work on first.
But no being thick neandethals a lot of the fans said 'ME WANT ATTRACTIVE FOOTBALL NOWWW!' and so they have Keegan, a man who has done and will do a hell of a lot worse than Sam.
It has come to my mind that Newcastle fans and the board, who are majorly influenced by the fans, know what they are doing or talking about.
You dont just SUDDENLY get attractive football. Or at least you rarely get it.
Newcastle have been extremely unstable in recent seasons and needed Sam to spend 1 or 2 seasons settling it down, playing his style of football. Get a decent defence in, then when the times right change manager to one that suits the style Newcastle wish to play.
But no they love to be the laughing stock of the premier league so they sack Sam before he has a chance to bring stability and bring in a manager who has virutally NO stability, but says he will play attacking football.
Will you still love only that attacking football if you're in the championship?
The club shot itself in the foot by demanding the attacking football now, why cant people just understand you cant just have these things on demand in football, you have to have the stability and build.
This attitude that Sam was #$%$ and wasnt playing great football is exactly what means the club will never be playing that style.
