It was rumoured Arsenal was interested in this guy before he made a big money move to Real. He was out injured for the better part of last season and that was the reason which prompted Real to buy the other Diarra (Lassana).
If he has recovered from his injuries and is at the right price, he could do the job for us. He is better than any DM we possess at the moment. But Melo still is my favourite for this role, as he brings more to the park. Ferocious in tackle, has a brilliant pass, speed and yes has the penchant for scoring important goals. He is something like Flamini except he is bigger and stronger.
But Diarra is a good player. Let's see how this one turns out.
