Arsenal Message Board
Its a forlorn hope on this board that contains so many detractors of an Arsenal team that is performing so outrageously well: that those detractors may(and pigs might fly) begin to 'support' their team in the belief that Arsenal can win not only win the PL but one or two more trophies as well this season. But fear not, there will always be this kind of statement from supposed supporters .....
"Chelsea's result last night there is little argument to be had about who the best manager in the PL is".
Totally disregarding AW's own outstanding performance this season, in giving the rest something to think about, and.in building a team (something Mourhino hasn't done) into a force to be reckoned with. I seem to recall that from way back last Nov. they have been saying we cant sustain it, we wont keep it going. Fruity O'Rooney springs to mind, plus one or two other on here. Yet here we are, with 14 to play, and although there is a few more bridges to negotiate, I would rather our position to date, than say Man. Utd. or Totters, and the ever building pressure on Man City... Please note, that nothing was said about our injured players, who have not been overly missed, but none the less, missed...yet we still manager to perform well. And Mr Pullis was never going to make it easy.....yet win we did. The point is, that we are not expected to win (anything), and this may well work to our advantage, both here and in Europe.
I have said before that I can see both sides in this.
I can see why after many baron years without a trophy, some fans want change. But the lack of investment in pushing on after scrapping 4th at the death 2 seasons running may be Wenger's fault or the fault of those in the boardroom...who knows!
I also see the point of those who don't mind the lack of trophy's as they get regular CL football and quality entertainment to boot...............(Maybe they think that no other Manager that Arsenal could realistically attract would give then CL and good football all the time)!
I also see nothing wrong with anyone who had legitimate criticism's about the past few seasons, now crowing from the roof top that they are top. That is what you do when you win but nobody is over reacting, as we all know that common sense means the squad is 3rd best in the Prem at best.........but no harm in dreaming.... after all, it's a funny old game.

What about people who claim to support Aston Villa, for years, and then, when Arsenal are leading the table, suddenly become Arsenal supporters .... is that OK too?
We have our best chance in the last many (8?) years to win the PL and anyone who counts us out does so at his own risk ;-)
Injuries are part of football and all teams have them, we are finally deep enough to be able to cope with them pretty well.

We also have a good chance to win the FA Cup.
The CL maybe a touch too much this year. I fear the next couple of weeks will take it out of us. We do not have the depth to cope with three big tournaments.
The PL would be a fantastic achievement. Especially as Wenger would have spent over £460m less than City to get it.
