I don't think pardew really deserves to be sacekd, but unfortunately he's only got himself to blame for the pressure on his shoulders at the moment. All the way through the season he's claimed West Ham could get automatic promotion, and only after that was mathematically impossible did he turn his attention to the play offs. If he'd said all along "i'm hoping for an outside shot at the play offs, but we need time to consolidate as a team after last year's disappointment" or similar then he wouldn't be in trouble now. the man's clearly an idiot.
that said, even if they do make the play offs I can't see them getting far, they're a very ordinary side with Sheringham out
