Surely, if we have to put up with the ad breaks, ITV could at least split the picture, showing the ad in one half of the screen and the race in the other. I wouldn't mind losing James Allen's commentary if I could still see the race action.

I am also fed up with ad breaks but it is not itv fault. I understand that it's the countrys network wherever the f1 is racing at. Ok when it comes to UK itv should show the whole race, but they can't because it is a network that is sponsor orintated, it's not like bbc which we pay a tv licence for.

I wish they would have more adverts in the preamble and review portions of the show instea...

I wish they would have more adverts in the preamble and review portions of the show instead of during the race - like in Football programmes. But that's presumably because advertisers will pay more for adverts IN the middle of the race.

Anyway, if we assume that they will not reduce the amount of time given to adverts in total, would anybody else prefer 3 longer breaks instead of the current 5 shorter breaks? It would reduce the number of times we get infuriated by having the action broken, and it would give us a decent chance to get to the toilet AND to the fridge (or teapot in the night races) in the break!
