Schumacher can and will be replaced in history, as all GREAT drivers have been replaced. Famgio, Hill, Stewart, Rindt, et al have been replaced in peoples memories by Senna and Schumacher.
I grew up watching Hill, Stewart, et al and I remeber when Jackie won 27 GPS. It was the record! But at the same time, noone ran away with races and championships because the cars and tracks were designed to be competative.
As it is now, it is almost impossible for the leaders to be passed on the circuit - you can on ly pass them if their pit stratagy is wrong, or they mess up in the pits.
I loved F-1 back in the 60's and early 70's, but what they do now is boring.
For your information, I grew up in Watkins Glen NY, USA and worked many years at the race track, in the pits and press room.
